It wouldn't really have made sense to compile a DVD from the in-door concerts, if they're hoping to get punters to see them on the same stage later in the year / in 2014, shirley?
The Hyde Pork gigs were two-offs, with lots of original / unique filmic possibilities, and a celebration of summer, and hearing the Stoonz play their ditties 2013-style(e) and outdoors - while side-stepping the already (fairly widely) seen Glastonburger, seems fair to me.
Emo, BOB plus another could have filled the space used by the rambling Midnight, perhaps, but then that would have excluded swee' Taylor, causing some firm fans to go nut-cake and want to root their budgerigar.
Bob Clearmountain was on-board and that is dandy, shirley?
Seems like a more than reasonable lil' package for 'mid-tour' and a respectable nod to dear ol' Lan-dan Toon.
Perhaps I was the only one who liked Some Girls Deluxe. Admittedly it didn't contain anything that built or reflected the NY 'rap' of 'Shattered' (the tune that inspired / opened the door for / jumped ahead of Grandmaster Flash & the FF's 'The Message') or the alternate new groove of 'Miss You' (released before Chic's 'Le Freak' and 'Good Times').... but... 'Do You Think...', 'Spare Parts' and 'Don't Be A Stranger' were especially splendiddles to mi mynd.
Perhaps my prob is that I like them too much (albeit in a bro-ish way rather than spousal way).
