Going by what Ive read yesterday, there appears to be a bit of crossover in sources between the audio and DVD releases of these shows.

The version of JJF that was released on the i-tunes download (and which presumably will be on the Sweet Summer Sun CD) comes from 6th July, but the audio of the performance of the song posted yesterday on their various social media sites comes from the 13th. Even more confusingly, the visuals in that clip come from both shows...

Just when I thought it was safe to update the setlists page..... Oh no! not you again

BBC just showed a 75 minute edit of the 'Sweet Summer Sun' dvd.

Wasnt just simply a concert broadcast, some nice off-camera commentary by the Stones themselves, and a couple of clips of Hyde Park 69 nicely woven in. It was pretty well filmed, I thought. The interviews appeared in between songs though, which I hope isnt the case on the DVD.

The songs broadcast were :

Honky Tonk Women
Gimme Shelter
Jumpin Jack Flash
Sympathy For The Devil
Brown Sugar
You Cant Always Get What You Want
Satisfaction

Oh, and in case anyone is interested, Keith has mysteriously somehow managed to play the first three chords of 'Start Me Up' properly, despite fouling them up at BOTH shows.

Gotta admit that it's shot superbly. Fresh dynamic cinematography...sort of reminds me of the camera work on Zilker Park show from the ABB set. Wish they would've not focused so much on the grandness of everything....crowd shots every 3 seconds and the stage shots to show how big it is. We get it...it's huge. The crowd is massive. Got it.

Yeah but I like the close ups of the crowd shots, because I love to see the faces, expressions and the reactions of various humans on the planet. Crazy bunch of Stones fans, but no matter where they play in the world, the similarities exist. We are a very interesting group of people!
