SV! That's a very nice shot.
It was a real pleasure talking with SV, Bitch, Glencar, and Maxmeister before the show. I even got a glimpse of the tonguelady having her photo taken with two of Philly's finest..interesting.
My take on the show is that the Stones are playing very well. Great to see the guitarists sober and playing sharp.
Bobby Keys, what can you say, simply incredible.
I went to the show with four 23 year olds, none of whom had seen the Stones before, so it was interesting to see their response to the various songs. Everything being fresh to them. Their highlights were the two Mick Taylor songs, CYHMK and MR. The Stones really should let him play a little more. It is very evident from Charlie's expressions and smiles that he enjoys having MT on stage.
Where the Stones lost these young men was from ER through the two new songs.
Thank you Keith for the solo in Saisfaction. Though I do think MT should be allowed a solo as well in this song. He's just onstage strumming along, very disappointing, for me anyway.
I'd like to think, in my own mind at least, that "Under the Boardwalk" was a very fitting song for me to remember Daryl by. Those of you that knew her knew of her passion in the early days for Asbury Park and the E Street Band. A very fitting song for her.
First time in 48 years, amazing.
Thank you Stones!
