Albums You've Been Spinning Lately

Alert Board Moderator about this Post!
I was going through my profile and noticed the "Albums" thread I started a few years ago must've met its demise.

Anyways, just wondering what you Stones fans are listening to lately. Since having a little baby in March, I haven't been playing albums straight through in the house. She loves music, but the music played has been a hodge-podge of stuff--no real straight through albums.

However, when I've had opportunities to leave the house to run some errands, I've cranked up some tunes in the car (LOL).

So...whatcha been listenting to lately?

Here's a few things I've been listening to and am looking forward to:

*Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Mosquito" (it's not a top album by them, but I like some of the varying styles thrown in; also, the artwork is friggin' ugly)
*Metronomy - "The English Riviera"
*Actually really like the latest from the Strokes (I think it's their swan-song--oh well)
*Haven't listened to the new Vampire Weekend but intend to do so soon
*Really liked some of the album from Atlas Genius--kind of a poppy record, but I like some of the tracks
*Finally listened to the Sound City Soundtrack, which I thought had a few good tunes; really enjoyed the documentary (rented it from Amazon)
*I have a few Third Man Records Vault releases I got in the mail that I haven't listened to yet
*Bought the reissue "Elephant" from the White Stripes on Record Store Day; only record I bought that day. In fact, I sold off a bunch of vinyl (I regret some of them I sold off) last September. I'm curbing my spending on vinyl now, but I plan to pick up some records here and there.

*Looking forward to releases from the National, Daft Punk, Alice in Chains, Portugal. The Man....and the new one from Queens of the Stone Age (can't friggin' wait for this)

So, there's a few bullet points. Mainly my source of music has been my SiriusXM subscription, Pandora (playing lullabies for the little one) and some stuff from iTunes through my iPad.

I haven't bought an album since the last release by The Hangmen but I have been playing Oakland 2013-05-05 and Blood Red Shoes in San Francisco 2013-04-30 constantly.

I have been listening to Tim Timebomb and Friends aka Tim Armstrong (Rancid/Transplants/Op Ivy) single releases…
all great covers of old rock, country, ska and punk… plus some Rancid stuff reworked…

I still haven't listened to the new Stroke, Bowie or YYY's
Really want to read enough on them all…

The new Johnny Marr is great
Bad Religion pretty good
Buckcherry…meh
Jello Biafra… good
Old Firm Casusals… new street punk revival
Noi!se… same as above
on the less rowdy side….
Eric Burdon, beautiful record….

Best of them all….

Nick Cave & Bad Seeds…. never got sick of Nick after all these years, he's only gotten better… amazing performer….

Forgot to mention Bowie. Got it the day it came out--enjoyed it.

I should check out the Johnny Marr record. I enjoyed his work with the Cribs and Modest Mouse, too.

First two records is all I'd listen to from these guys. A few moments on "15" and "Black Butterfly" (but those are forgettable, to me, really).

Yeah, I got the new Bowie album and played it multiple times a day right up until my life took a detour with the rehearsals.
