Stones open poll for surprise song at San Jose
May 7^th, 2013 at 5:47pm

The Rolling Stones are once again throwing open the chance for fans to vote for a song of their choice, as By Request… goes live once again.

Fans can choose from a shortlist of five songs, selected by the band, but not currently part of the set list. The band will then play the winning song during the concert on May 8th in San Jose.

The vote, which is open now in the Official Rolling Stones mobile app, runs until midday (PST) on the day of the San Jose concert and the band will play the winning song live that night.

A second vote will open in the app on May 9th giving fans the chance to vote for a song to be played at the Las Vegas concert on May 11th.

For you chance to vote, download the app from the App Store or Google Play.

No Expectations is right there with Memory Motel as my most wanted,never heard Stones song. Considering this will likely be my last Stones show. It would be incredibly sweet to hear it.......And keeps with the early country ballad slot they've been playing. Fuck you Gazza, Will ya?

You'd only have saw it in 89 had you been at the opening night in Philly. The power er..'shattered' during the song, everything ground to a halt and then they restarted the show. The song wasnt played again for the rest of the tour. It was played in 94 and 95 but then not again until the European shows in 1999.

I've said it before, but I was on LSD, tripping balls when that happened, thought the world was ending, like we had been attacked or something… I was aso high, I kinda didn't care, but was scared shitless all at once!!!
