Fantastic concert from what's been uploaded on youtube so far. Great to see Mick Taylor playing, it was a shame about just the one song hopefully he'll play on two next concert...he has really honed his chops since November, he was on fine form.  Don't suck my cock

They continue to amaze.

Always impressed when the live version of a song just blows the studio version away.

Emotional Rescue live actually worked!

Emotional Rescue was in fact great. However, not even the best show I saw this week. Everything "worked" but after all the ups and downs and 65 songs heard at rehearsal the last few weeks, realizing I was just watching a replay of the pay per view I found myself getting bored.

Got home really late because I hoofed it to a bar a mile away to see Paul Collins (The Beat, The Nerves) going on at midnight.

I hope they do it at Hyde Park and/or Glastonbury. As the young folk say it would be amazeballs.

Imho and for all sorts of reasons , personal (on my part) and professional and artistic (on theirs) , it is a stroke of genius.

Best part of the night was the guy in front of me vomiting in the aisle and seeing the reactions when I pointed it out to people. I think I got a handful of boob shoving some chick out of the way so she wouldn't step in it.

Great set & 23 songs! Taylor must really need the money to be trotted out like a venriloquists dummy for 1 bloody song. I was really hoping he'd do at least 2 in the main part of the show and come out for the finale.

I dont mind Keith Urban. He's a fan. But i must point out, he's actually a New Zealander, not Aussie.

Staggered to bed at 3 and can't sleep.

Just watched the vid of ER.

IMPRESSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This should STAY in the setlist.

Happy to read the initial reviews.
They never disappoint. Ever.

Staggering BACK to bed now.

Maybe I'll dream of my knight in shining armour, riding across the desert on a fine Arab charger.

I must admit Emotional rescue was great, them doing it live made all the difference, I think when it came out in the 80's we were all trying to get over the Disco thing, thanks for the videos, love Factory Girl, I thought when somebody mentioned Mick & keith I imagined this stool thing like The Ed Sullivan show or the '69 tour when it was just Mick & Keith for Prodigal Son & You Got To Move, keep those videos coming!!!

You've hit the nail on the head about Taylor. Its great seeing him play but at the same time it really shows how little say he has in his role and its almost pitiful that he is being hauled all that way for one song. It really makes Wyman's decision not to join in very understandable indeed.

With regards to the finale, in all the shows Nov/Dec the Stones should have had Wyman & Taylor (especially London) onstage at the same time...all 6 living living Stones. Alas, it was not meant to be.

Shades of the '70s. Now that's a real concert experience!  Nolte - The Rocks Off patron saint

It must have been a bit of a let down for any fans that knew he was rehearsing on a lot more than Midnight Rambler... hopefully they'll let him spread his wings a bit more before I see them in July  Smiley

Agree completely Patrick, I'm hoping that he'll play on a good couple of numbers at Hyde Park. I knew not to pay too much attention to Keith's 3 guitar's make things interesting statement, but I thought the rehearsals with Taylor would signify a greater involvement. But in all probability he'll get 1 song a night and he is in no position whatsoever to turn it down....quite frankly for a bloke who was a key part of their sound, as well as Wyman, these token song(s) are a little bit thankless.

Nevertheless, as far as I'm concerned Mick T is better than having no Mick T, I look forward to him cooking with gas over the coming weeks  Grin

Which Hyde Park date are you in for Patrick?

ot sure why they aren't utilizing Taylor for the 3rd guitar more… bring him out and have him leave… but you need 3 guitars anyway for a full sound… I think ego trumps useful here… common sense ain't so common!

There were empty seats, but they were scattered so from a distance (like the stage) it looked full. In my section of $600+ seats (I paid $85) there were about 20 empties.

Oh cool. So you did get in the $600 section with the $85 mystery tickets?

Havent heard anything of the show yet, but good to see a setlist of that length - how long did they play?

Some very nice additions to that setlist but that closing third is still too predictable.

Taylor only played on one song, though? Thats hugely disappointing.
