ER the album is a different story.
Some mighy good Stones in there.
Some mighty bad too.

They wanna play Where the Boys Go, or Summer Romance, Send It to Me, Let me Go.... fine wid it.
But those cocaine-fueled songs shall not be played.

If they want to play Down in the Hole - ALL FOR IT.
HAVE BEEN SINCE 1980.
When did they last play it? NEVER!!!!

If they play Indian Girl, 25% of the audience will flatline and the remainder will suffer from PTSD for years.

I'm amazed they're even trying it.

Mick doesnt have the vocal range to do that falsetto anymore without it sounding painful (compare 'Worried About You' from the last tour to the tours that preceded it - whereas previously he could hit the high notes, on the Bang tour he had to screech and yell for dramatic effect in order to do so)

Its a natural process that when you get older you cant hit the same high notes as easily. Fair play to them for digging it out and having a go, though if they choose to do so. Its not a song I like (even though its musically superb) but its good that theyre making the effort to try something different.

Dont expect it to be played anything more than occasionally. Mick chooses songs each night to suit how his voice feels, and he's not going to risk blowing his voice out by doing too many ballads or especially songs in a high register.

I listened to ER today on the way to school...Love that album...
but the thought of a 70 year old Jagger singing about hanging out in the gay bars on the west side of town...
