One rumour I've heard mentioned earlier today is that the gig will be Saturday evening, but I guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow.

There's only a certain amount of clubs that =can meet their needs that are bookable. You have to imagine, this is done so secretly, they have always kept it quiet until the final hours…

someone posted earlier, that they didn't do a club gig for NS tour, half truth…. they rehearsed in SF at The Fillmore, and at the end allowed friends and some fans in to hangout…. not the same, but a warm up, just not a public one… kinda like Paris pre-club gig.

I dont know where the gig will be, but someone who does know told me that it was a club with a capacity of about 350 as opposed to a theatre - which makes me think its maybe somewhere like The Roxy, Troubadour, Viper Room etc.

Rolling Stones to play surprise show at the Echoplex (unless this is an elaborate social media hoax)

The Rolling Stones, whose “50 And Counting” Tour kicks off May 3 at Staples Center, will play a surprise show tonight at the Echoplex, according sources and various information on Twitter.

New Build, the UK electronic band originally scheduled to play the Echoplex tonight as part of Brit Week, tweeted (from @newbuildband) early this morning: “The Rolling Stones have nicked our gig tngt at the Echo. This time it’s personal. Going down to have a word with Mick.” And the Rolling Stones, tweeting from @GRRRegory, tweeted yesterday: “Grrrreat things are brewing! Watch this space at 12.30pm PT tomorrow for some news.” And very large trucks were at the Echoplex this morning unloading gear that seems way too large for a typical show there.

Sources say tickets will not be on sale at the Echoplex. It has not been officially announced, but as of 9:30 a.m. there is already a line at the box office at the El Rey Theatre, so somebody knows something.

I want s setlist as much as anyone...but unless they pull out ER...or Winter...we all know what the songs will be for the most part ( lets be honest)
What I am saying...I would totally be satisfied with reading aftershow highlights...since they are on LA time...it will be way late anyway for the first coast

I don't care what board they are from, I just want a recording! The band should've given tickets to Justin and Dan and Bluzdude who were standing outside their rehearsals all week! They did that in 2002 for some of my friends in Toronto, the roadies even fixed them up with that partial DVD of the show, remember?

I bought this ticket in February for Blood Red Shoes. I left before New Build. Maybe I should have seen if it would have worked at the Echoplex.
