Shakira was spotted going in to the rehearsal studio. Special Guest in LA? She is so talented and sexy MICK would enjoy her on stage! Everyone will, she can sing, dance, and look great all at the same tme.

I saw Shakira, i think, on a TV talent show…. She's on the X Factor… I'm sure she's working on that, nothing else...

So, three days to go and still no opening acts? Dear me. Couldnt they afford any?

At least at the 2012 shows they managed to make up for that by playing for almost 2 and a half hours.

Cant see that happening this time.

I wonder if they'll have those people in gorilla masks banging on drums like they did during the 2012 winter tour...?

Real r'n'r at $1500 a ticket?   Grin

No opening act is fine if you're playing a very long show. They werent missed or needed at the 02 (I rarely see the opener anyway, so its not a big deal to me personally)

However, if theyre not playing a much longer show, then its a pretty stingy gesture to most of the audience who have paid a lot of dough for an evening out.

The tickets say starting time at 8:00. They may not come on before 8:45-9 and they're telling people with pit packages to be there by 5 or you're SOL. Shocked

I don't need an opening act, and haven't for some time. I did enjoy the Pretenders opening for them though.

Hender? This is what happens when ticket sales are so poor they couldn't even afford Hinder to open the show.

Gwen Stefani murdered Wild Horses in LA. Keith Urban did a respectable Respectable in LA. Tom Waits did a cool Rooster in Oakland.  So it seems 1 or 2 different Special Guests per show is the pattern. We can expect a variety.

I feel dumb asking this...
So...I just want to make sure...I thought that Gwen did a horrible job on Wild Horses...is that the consensus?

Folks ( not just you Bitch)  keep saying things like  murdered, destroyed etc...these euphemisms with respect to
performances/show business usually mean they did GREAT...as in "I killed last night...the crowd loved me!!

No, you're not dumb.
I remember the first time hearing the word "sick" used to describe something and couldn't understand why the guy thought it was so "bad."

Kids & their lingo these days. Not cool man!  taylor made smile

Depends on the age and IQ of the person youre quoting. If both are under 30, it usually means the opposite of what they're actually saying.

Its BADDD, ain't it?  Cheesy

Most bands only get a token fee unless they are needed to sell tickets. Maybe they can do it Sunset Strip style and make the prospective opener buy a stack of $600 tickets to resell to their friends and fans in exchange for the slot.
