For those who are actually going to Chicago and not just flooding this thread Wink

, we are still working on a location for pre/post concert drinks and food.

I'm also trying to reconnect with Peter our van driver from 2006. He chauffered about 12 of us from our hotel to the pre-party, to the show and from the show to Kingston Mines for some post concert Chicago Blues.

Might be good to line him up rather than drive or have to rely on cabs.

Great guy who really enjoyed hanging with us!!!

We'll keep you updated............................

If you can believe it, I am doing Chicago (with a 85 dollar grab bag) cheaper than my Philly 1 ticket. Thats with air and hotel. Fucking crazy. Thank god I got another 85 for Philly 2.

The FF from Buffalo is going to arrange a meeting place for Chi # 1. I hope those of you going can make it. It will be nice to meet some of you finally. Even if it is just for a few hours. smoking more weed is good for your health

I've found a sports bar with a good menu 2 blocks from the United Center that will open at either 4 or 5 on the day of the show.
They expect to be packed (Shidoobee is also looking at this spot), especially on Friday the 31st, so I'm calling back Monday to get more details and possibly make reservations. The guy I spoke to just now said they've already received 3 calls THIS MORNING for Stones show date info.

If you are still thinking about attending PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP SO THAT I CAN RESERVE ENOUGH SPACE.

I've established contact with our driver Peter from '06. He wrote "The Rocks Off crew is returning to Chicago I hear. Would be my pleasure to see you all again".
Since we seem to have the largest crowd on Friday night, I've requested some info (availability/pricing) for transport in a large passenger van.

We could cab it to the pre-party or come up with a central location Downtown where he could pick us up, take us to the pre-party, on to the show, and off to a Blues club and/or back to your cars. Pete is a real cool guy and very flexible; so we have lots of options.

Downtown Chicago hotels are full that whole week, just FYI for anyone looking. Almost impossible to get one. I tried that whole "my cousin works for the county health inspector" bit to no avail.

How do we know this Peter guy isn't a Narc? If there is one thing I can't stand its a Narc who drops the dime to LE on his associates. Goddam Narcs. I swear, I can't stand them goddam Narcs. The next Narc I meet, I'm going to flat cold bust the bastard right in the chops. Right in the goddam moof.

I'm in really good physical shape at the moment. Hitting the pavement hard. Working the intangibles, too.

In Chicago, people get so loaded on St. Patrick's Day, that the river turns green with urine and moth salts. The wind (or "The Hawk" as the Negroes call it) whips the urine into a sudsy froth. It's something to see at least once in your lifetime.
