Hi everyone !
Finally back from the States. Absolutely exhausted after 5 days of excess in Chicago ! Nice to finally meet some of the Rocks off legends on Tuesday ,although our stay was brief ! 1st night was a blast , especially Rocks Off, which seemed rather appropriate . I started to flag towards the end as 44 sleepless hours caught up with me and we were out of there quickly and in a cab, so never made it back to the Ogden . Would like to have taked to Tom and others a bit more and got some pictures . I understand the music issue reached a point of no return later ............where where the Stones !
The following night saw us out in Lincoln park , at Martyrs with SV, who had kindly sorted tickets for us. The Tim Ries Project were excellent, with some really cool arrangements of the classics, especially Lady Jane and Wild horses.........wow

Thursday we decided to do a Blues club and ended up at Kingston Mines for the doors opening. What an incredible place ! We left at about 3.30 am with big smiles and lots of new friends. If you get a chance, check it out , especially Joannna Conner .
Our last day was always gonna be stressful as we had decided to try for the pit and it proved to be complete nightmare ! All turned out well though and yes Gazza,we were daft bastards ! What can I say about the gig............Keith had his best night in years , with a performance up there with any I've seen in the last 31 years.I'm sure Mary would have approved and I think she may have been there, cranking his amp up to no. 11 ! So many great moments - Shine a light, ADTL with Sheryl Crow was amazing,YGTS and mind blowing versions of CYHMK and Rambler. Mick Taylor really plays
with the band now. Made it to the after show, but only briefly as flairville (Ben) was worse for wear .....again

.
Nice to finally meet Lady Jane and others. Special thanks to SV for looking after us and for the pictures ! Chicago is our kind of town.
This community is very special
