For all those planning on attending the first show at Staples, or will be in the Los Angeles area, a few of us would like to plan a get together most likely the evening prior to the first show. Depending on the responses, we can also consider the evening after. I'd like to get an idea of those who might be able to attend such an event, most likely held at a bar or pub in the Hollywood or Los Angeles area. You can either respond to this thread, or you can email me. The sooner I get your responses, the more suitable place we could find. I also created a facebook event

I posted this elsewhere...but keep in mind...the May 2nd date is not confirmed just yet...they need to sell tickets...but the date may still change, which is total bullshit for fans flying in...hotelling, planning on parties, etc...see my post below:

No. But they did that on the fall 2006 leg...there were 'firesale' offers, 4 tickets for the price of 2, 2 for 1 etc...the $99 tickets as I recall.

Maybe on Stub Hub but probably not thru official channels.

That's the point of the $85 tickets I think. Actually selling potentially undesirable tickets for cheap up front is replacing the last minute fire sale as a method for filling the house.

the 2009/2010 Live Nation fire sales conditioned ticket buyers to wait, having the deals on day or weekend of sale does just the opposite.

I know, that's about 60,000 seats to sell overall. Most priced above $200. Good luck with that. Their may be a lot of beautiful people down there. But even they aren't going to shell out that money multiple times for the Stones. piss off

If you are going to be in LA....and even if you are not going to the show. if you are on this board, you are invited. I hope to finalize the location within the next 24 hours or so.

I would like to get some kind of idea as to how many people we will have.

On Facebook, you can check out IORR Rocks Off L.A. Stones event.

As far as getting together a couple hours prior to the show, the Yardhouse at Nokia Center was suggested, I think that is a good idea.
