Question:
For those who got tickets today, how long was your wait time from making your selection to actually being offered tickets ?
The US sales were quite uneven. I was planning on getting tix for Chicago, which was going on pre-sale at 11 my time. So I practiced on Toronto, which went on sale at 10 my time. I just kept going back in. In the beginning they showed no pre-sale tix available, but after about 25 minutes a bunch of tix started to be offered. I was shopping the top price bracket, so I think a lot of people might have snatched them up, had second thoughts and then not completed the sale.
TicketBastard did try that old trick of selling crap seats to panicked pre-sale buyers. The first top price level seats offered were way at the back of the far end, or way at the back on the floor. This happened for both Toronto and Chicago. I just kept throwing them back, and eventually was offered seats in the area that LJ and I wanted. I think the key is not to panic. And definitely don't think the pre-sale is sold out just because seats are not available in the first couple of tries.
I know it is harder for the cheaper seats, as I'm sure more people keep them if they pull them, but don't let TM lead you to a bad decision.
And the fact that they added the show in Toronto and the show in Chicago during the pre-sales of the first shows really helped widen the ticket pool.
Good luck, West Coasters!
Yeah that kind of happened to me. Got in at 10. After a 15 minute wait,no $170 tix. Could of got great $600 tix. But I passed. Went back about an hour later and dropped my request from 4 to 2 and got side of stage uppers for $170. 5th row so not too high, Just hope they're not obstructed view. But I'm in for Oakland.
