So what happened to the rest of the rumored 18 shows? Do you reckon they will be announced later or was it just a rumor/scrapped/undecided?

They're not going to announce multiple nights until they're sure they can sell out the first night.

They'd look pretty stupid if they announced two shows in Philadelphia, then sold 10,000 for the first night and had to cancel the second.

I know everyone assumes 'its the Stones - they'll sell out' and they probably will, but at these prices its always a risk.

The second Hyde Park gig hasnt been confirmed yet either but its pretty much a cert that it'll happen once they sell out the first one.

With only 2 ticket prices of either $171 or $665 my guess is that the cheap tickets will be fewer and sell out in a minute.

Egon, you make a grown man cry. Dare to dream. At 171 I can afford to go. But that's the marketing plan. Make people think tickets will be outrageus, then they think 171 is a bargain. Still higher than most acts. Nanker Oh no! not you again

Chicago is the only one I am even considering and since it is mid week and before a weekend of family obligations, I just don't think it is gonna happen for me.  Funny thing is that I am actually not too upset about missing the boys.  Money and time off from work is very tight for me and to be honest, I am spending the little I have with my children and doing some traveling.  I will miss the summits and seeing everyone......

I'd love to go and see them in Hyde Park, but the date's pretty impossible for me, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for some shows on mainland Europe. Can't see them skip the old continent..

So I signed up at British Summer time etc. etc. and I just got an email going like this:

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 5th April, however as a valued member of the BBST community you can beat the crowd and purchase your tickets right now!

And a "BUY TICKETS" link, only when I click on it there are no ticket listings at all.  Shit!

I've heard nothing about "a pit" for these shows.
Do you think they have ditched that great stage they used in Nov and Dec??

You'll probably find out when they go on sale.....probably aimed at enticing you into a snap decision where you say 'fuck it' and spend three times as much as you promised yourself you would.

I'd be a bit surprised if they changed the format, to be honest. There was a lot of money in it. Purely from a fan's perspective it also looks a far more enjoyable option than the 'done to death' B-stage, where you go to all that expense for three songs up close with appalling sound problems - and where the momentum of the show is pretty much lost for the entire front blocks for a 15 minute period.

Public sale is 9 am UK time on Friday, so I'd imagine a link will pop up later. General Admission is Ł95 plus charges. Pretty much what I expected, with the same tickets for Bon Jovi's gig the day before being Ł65.

There are two 'circles' closer to the stage - 'Golden' and the pricier ' Diamond'.  You're looking at Ł200-300 I think for the Golden Circle (depending on type of package), which is some going for a place thats not next to the stage and where you'll get rained on every bit as much as everyone else. The Diamond ones with the backstage bar are something like Ł399 and up.

Doesnt appear to be any tickets left on the Barclaycard presale - https://www.barclaycardunwind.com/events/1/All/Date?search=hyde+park

There is no presale listed on Ticketmaster for Chicago.
Just called TM and the woman said, if it's not listed there either is no pre-sale or it may be put up later.

DAMMIT.

It'll be the latter.

Presales are all a bit of a nonsense anyway - especially if its a free one. May as well just put all the tickets on sale together and be done with it.

There are presales for every other show that has an on-sale date so far, so there will absolutely be one for all of them.

ticketbastard is showing seating charts for the 3 of 4 venues listed, none are showing a pit area, however my guess is that the maps shown are generic seating set ups until they go on sale, so who knows?

I just know I don't have a citicard.

According to rollingstones.com it appears they will have the same stage set up as the previous 50 & Counting shows.

"The stage design for the tour is based on the band’s ubiquitous tongue and lips logo, which extends out into the crowd, allowing the Stones to interact directly with their audience. "

The Rolling Stones are back! 50 & Counting tour hits USA and Canada

Citibank Private Pass Pre-Sale: Friday April 5 10AM EST

General On-Sale: Monday April 8 10AM EST

The Rolling Stones, who rocked London and New York in 2012, announced today that they will kick off their 50 & Counting tour in Los Angeles at the STAPLES Center.  (Date TBA pending NBA/NHL playoff schedules.) The tour debut will be followed by performances in Oakland, San Jose, Las Vegas, Anaheim, Toronto, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia.

50 & Counting continues the exhilarating celebration of the band’s first 50 years—five decades of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood bringing their iconic music and ground-breaking stage shows to audiences around the globe.

The Rolling Stones were recently crowned the ‘Best Live Band’ at the NME Awards in London, and over the past 12 months have thrilled fans with their release of a greatest hits collection, GRRR!, a groundbreaking documentary film Crossfire Hurricane, a photographic book The Rolling Stones: 50, and have taken the stage by storm for their first live shows in many years. The tour is the band’s highly anticipated return to the stage.

“50 & Counting has been pretty amazing so far,” said Jagger. “We did a few shows in London and New York last year…and had such a good time that we thought…let’s do some more.  It’s a good show.  Lots of the classic stuff everyone wants to hear…with a few little gems tucked in here and there.  The stage is shaped like lips and goes off into the venue so I get to run around in the crowd.  It’s great fun to be able to get that close to the audience.”

“From day one at rehearsals it sounded so fresh.  You could tell that everybody was dying to get their teeth into it.  It was like…open the gates…let us out!” said Richards. “Cause man, it is the life and blood of us to play in front of people.”

Tickets for Oakland, San Jose, Toronto and Chicago go on sale beginning Monday, April 8 at 10AM local time and will be available at www.rollingstones.com.

Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning April 5 at 10AM local time through Citi’s Private Pass Program. For complete presale details visit www.citiprivatepass.com

Mick Taylor, who was a member of the Rolling Stones from 1969-74, will be a special guest throughout the tour.

The band will treat their generations of fans to an evening of classic Stones hits like ‘Gimme Shelter’, ‘Paint It Black’, ‘Jumping Jack Flash’, ‘Tumbling Dice’, and ‘It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll’, curated with lesser known gems, and a cover or two.

The stage design for the tour is based on the band’s ubiquitous tongue and lips logo, which extends out into the crowd, allowing the Stones to interact directly with their audience.  Known for their ground-breaking sets and use of cutting-edge technology, the Stones’ set design will feature video screens and special effects that will enhance the high-octane experience of attending a live Stones’ show.

The band will also play London’s Hyde Park on Saturday, July 6 following a headlining appearance at UK’s Glastonbury Festival on June 29.

The Rolling Stones 50 & Counting tour will be the band’s first venture with worldwide tour promoter AEG Live’s Concerts West.

Got a friend who works for a law firm. The partners in the firm are pretty well connected music wise. He just told me the bay area dates are Oakland May 5th and San Jose May 8th. LA before that and Anaheim after.

Not sure if this has been given any kudos, but these predictions from a few days back were right on the money.  Any more information on other shows which haven't been announced yet?

US $665.85

I think it was only bjornulf on IORR who managed to get people's hopes up by claiming tickets would be priced between $50 and $400.

Personally, I reckon he was looking at a 1999 No security tour schedule at the time.

I saw that in a variety of places as well. No idea where that rumor came from!
