So far I'm in for Philly and probably Boston.

Theyve already confirmed a show in LA and one in Anaheim, which is nearby.

these are not 'secondary markets' - they've confirmed shows in Chicago, LA, Boston, Toronto and Philadelphia!

There's only going to be 18 shows - most of what's left will be 'add ons' in the cities theyve already confirmed, subject to demand for additional nights. There'll probably only be about 9-10 cities in all - and nine are already confirmed.

There probably wont BE any 'secondary markets' on this tour. Most of those cities couldnt support these kind of prices and the band have no intention to do a long tour or play in several cities.

It depends how many tickets are in each category. If half the arena is $171 or below, then fair enough, but the price range is meaningless if there are only about 100 tickets in the cheapest category.

Amazing performance on rs.com today. After a week of teases all over various social media sites, they end up posting a stupid 44 second teaser video and dont even break the news of the tour dates on their own websites, leaving the honours to BST for Hyde Park and Billboard for the American dates.

What I meant was, they sell the Boston and Philly shows on the weekdays first, then add a second show on a weekend in the same city, which are more desirable, and then announce the LA and NY dates later after the other shows are sold out. Not announcing all the shows at once makes it possible to save the best for last and possibly hike up the ticket prices after.

thats certainly a practical way of doing it - yes.

Theyve already added an LA show though - they just havent confirmed an actual date. I'm unconvinced there'll be a New York concert. I think theyd have announced it along with the rest had there been one. Looks like NYC had its 'share' in December.

I think it was only bjornulf on IORR who managed to get people's hopes up by claiming tickets would be priced between $50 and $400.

Personally, I reckon he was looking at a 1999 No security tour schedule at the time.
