Charlie & the ABC & D of Boogie Woogie are back in London next month for four shows at the Jazz Club in Soho's Dean Street, where they performed a year ago.

Tradition means nothing anymore. They'd never done 5-date tours before last year either.

A bit of a bizarre logic to assume that two shows in March means no Stones activity for about 6 months afterwards. Especially as the band dont exactly have to rehearse for a couple of months before they next perform.

The Stones will almost certainly be playing concerts by the summer.

Well, no it isnt. Each to their own, though, and all that.

For a hometown gig, I'd be at it no question. It sounds like fun even if the prices are a bit steep. Throwing that kind of dough at a gig that I'd have to fly to isn't something most people can do at a drop of a hat. Its even more expensive than seeing a Springsteen gig - and he's my favourite live act. To do it for something I'm not a big fan of is insane. I could think of about a dozen shows I'd be more likely to fly to England to see, but most of those would be non starters at the minute as well.

I paid something like that kind of dough for 24 hours to see the Stones in November (and that was with getting a ticket at half price). THAT was worth it. Bit of a difference between a Stones show and a solo gig which has limited appeal to me musically, though.

It's looking more and more like they will play Glastonbury which is at the end of June, I don't think they would open a tour in front of 250,000 people so I bet they have a few gigs before that...now that IS speculation...

Well previous specualtion had them playing Vegas in June. That's a long way from Glasto and I doubt they'd go from the west coast to England. So I guess we can scratch the west coast shows in June? you made a grown man cry

I thought the rumours for those shows were early/mid June.

Its not a big issue. Glastonbury's Sunday show is June 30th.

They managed to play shows in London and New York 9 days apart just a couple of months ago.

They also wouldn't be using their own stage so logistically it's very easy.

I agree with Bob. I do think they will play Glastonbury (I've heard nothing definite though so its just a personal hunch) and if they do there is no way they're going to go into a show like that, with a 140,000 crowd and a worldwide live TV audience 'cold' without a few shows before it to warm themselves up.
