I recently saw TELSTAR...possible the BEST RnR biopic i have ever seen...extremely facinating...and the people who it is about...extraordinary!!
If you don't know the story of Joe Meek...don't wiki it...the film seems pretty acurate and Wiki was a HUGE spoiler for me as i didn't know much about him or the tornadoes

I saw this movie, I never knew all this stuff or Joe Meek, it's a really good movie, although it was totally insane the way he had a recording studio in his house, Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) was involved in the early days & Mitch Mitchell (who he, Joe, held a gun to his head & he had a nervous break-down) it's amazing how many of these people involved in the music business in England (managers/record producers, etc) were gay, & back then it was a crime.

Hard to say.  Probably Kids Are Alright or A Hard Day's Night (though my favorite Beatles movie is the animated one; the one about the submarine, and I think that Help! gets better with time).  Woodstock always gets me; it's like being there, but without having to stand all those smelly lazy hippies in person ( Smiley).  I like Don't Look Back , but who doesn't? (BTW, D A Pennebacker is receiving a honorary Oscar this year.) Even though it isn't ROCK per se, Hair is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I strongly believe that, in spirit, Goodfellas is the best rock movie of all time. In spirit, because as far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster.  Besides, consider the soundtrack. Stones, George Harrison, Cream, etc. First time I ever heard the "Layla" coda. In recent years, I enjoyed tremendously 24 hour party people ; be sure to check it out, if you like Joy Division and british humor.

I'm interested in watching Tonite let's all make love in London (1967). I've heard some good things about it.  There's some Stones content there; also Michael Caine, Pink Floyd, Eric Burdon, etc.  Here it is.  I'll probably watch it later....
