Glastonbury and London appear to be the only stops for now, and theyre festival shows.

I've heard whispers of shows at Bercy in Paris, but I get the impression thats for a future run of concerts as opposed to this summer. I cant imagine the Stones will wrap up this series of shows - however long it's due to continue for - without some gigs on the continent at some point. I think this tour doesn't have a targeted 'end' date - its more likely a series of mini-tours with no long-term 'plan', which will run for as long as they want to do it.

OK so not many days left until the official announcement! So will they announce all the dates at once or do it a few at a time to see how the tickets sell? I hope its all at once, but TM would crash if they all began selling at the same time. So maybe announce all the dates at once but with tickets selling on different dates for different venues. That would be best. Anticipation!

UK dates will be announced later today.

There's also speculation about a visit to Australia, although if theyre happening, I'd be surprised if they're confirmed at the same time as either the UK or North American dates.

Planet Rock FM say they're announcing it at 7 pm, although I doubt that it'll be an exclusive. Expect it to come from the band's or festivals' own media channels first.

TV announcements for tours are so 90's!!

Indications are that it'll be an announcement about Glastonbury, with Saturday June 29th being the most likely date. Hopefully they'll confirm Hyde Park as well.

The Rolling Stones to play the Glastonbury festival

The Rolling Stones have been announced to headline the Glastonbury festival on Saturday 29 June.

Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie will continue their 50 & Counting celebrations on the legendary Pyramid Stage in what will undoubtedly be the highlight of this world famous summer music festival.

Mick tweeted: “Can’t wait to play Glastonbury. I have my wellies and my yurt!”

Keith said: “We all had such a ball last year, and the energy between the band is so good. We can’t wait to play Glastonbury, see you on a summer’s day in England!”

Please note tickets for the festival have sold out.

Not sure how reliable this is, but this site is reporting that there will be two concerts on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec on July 20 and 27, and that the Stones are being lined up for the second date...
