I understand the London show will be at Hyde Park.

In which case, I'm guessing that it will be part of this festival which runs from June 28th to July 7th, with six ticketed concerts

http://www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/hyde-park/hyde-park-attractions/barclaycard-b...

The only headliner so far announced are Bon Jovi for 5th July. Their tickets are priced at £65. Its a GA event, so it'd be nice if the Stones priced their tickets on a similar level if theyre on this bill.

That site promises "More high profile acts will be announced in the following weeks"

This is the festival's official website - http://www.bst-hydepark.com/

Further to the above, whilst there have been no further announcements about headliners for the series of Hyde Park concerts, the organisers have now confirmed that this event has been moved from June 28-July 7 to
July 5 - July 14.

Possibly to fit in with the Stones' tour plans? And as the talk is that the Stones will play two London shows, might that mean that they play on successive weekends (that wouldnt have been possible on the original scheduled dates as the first weekend clashes with Glastonbury). So maybe we'll get the Stones at Hyde Park on the weekend of July 6-7 and again on either the 13th or 14th?

That would be great, with one week in London thrown in for good measure! Is it me or is it annoying that the BST only has BJ to show for themselves at this time?

Not that I'd want to be there (Diamond circle for me please) but I wonder if anyone's seen the location of the "One concert ticket located in the VIP grandstand"? Would have to be on the side most likely?

Just saw this. More of the same but...............

http://www.showbiz411.com/2013/03/13/exclusive-rolling-stones-will-play-2-nights...

The Rolling Stones did so well with their New York shows, you can expect them back to work shortly. I can tell you exclusively that the Stones will play two shows in London’s Hyde Park. The likely dates are July 6th and July 13th. (I guess it will take one week to clean up between shows.) The Stones are also confirmed for 18 U.S. arenas. The tour is supposed to start on the West Coast, maybe in Vancouver.

And: the rumors about Glastonbury are apparently true as well. My sources say it’s a go. The festival runs June 26 to the 30th.

In the East, Philadelphia has been set. The big question mark is New York: whether to wrap it all up in Madison Square Garden or at MetLife (formerly Giants) Stadium. It would seem appropriate for the final US Rolling Stones shows to be at MSG. It’s just all about the money. Australian Paul Dainty is promoting the arenas for Richard Branson and Virgin Live. AEG Live has the London shows.

The next questions will be guest stars, opening acts, etc. And ticket prices should be absolutely off the wall.

I think the Hyde Park on consecutive weekends thing is very likely for the reasons I mentioned earlier. Glastonbury is a lock as already mentioned.

However, the proverbial pinch of salt needs to be taken with the showbiz411.com stuff as that ass-clown Roger Friedman has a bit of atrack record with posting headline-claiming 'exclusives' (how are they exclusives when theyre all over the net?)that are way off the mark , which he insists he are still right when you mail him factual info proving his info is incorrect - and then when the correct dates are announced he still tells you he brought you the story first (ie his insistence that the Stones would play the 02 on Nov 26 & 27 and the Pru on 16/17 December even though it was pointed out to him that the venues werent available on those dates and the band never play back to back nights).

I'm sure the Canadians will be happy to know that Vancouver has been annexed by the USA. And apparently MSG is being renocated for much of this summer making it a bit unlikely for a Stones show. Oh, and that the MetLife stadium used to be known as Giants Stadium (its a different stadium entirely). Amazing gaffes for a self proclaimed showbiz expert who is BASED in New York.

I've heard now from 3 different sources that the Philly shows will be at Wells Fargo Centre around Memorial weekend.

Pissed off..no not at all
I got tired of waiting for the Stones to "honor" us with their concert  plans and planned my July vacation going on an Ireland Springsteen Tour.  That these highly rumored not quite official shows take place around the same fricken time that I am going to  Green Country is extremely teeth clenching. I do not have unlimited funds and unlimited time off from work, so I won't be able to even consider altering my plans.   I find peace in knowing that the price I paid for 3 Bruce shows probably wouldn't cover what one Stones show will cost anyway (My favorite band is no longer affordable!).   But still....  Sad

Oh I'll get over it.. I am sure to have a wonderful time no matter what, as I will have great company.....

Wow,good for you Meg. Bruce in Ireland. I'd take that over an overpriced, warhorse filled Stones show anyday. Going to be hard to pas up a Stones show if they play in my area. But if ticket prices are too ridiculous. I'll pass and wait for Bruce in the fall and go back east and see him........and I'm sure you will have good company in Ireland. Fuck you Gazza, Will ya?

I might try for the cheapest tickets, but when it comes to geezer bands with expensive tickets, who I usually just avoid, right now in order of importance, David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones. Bowie is the wild card because who knows what he might do. Last tour, rather than do a big show or two like most cities, he did several smaller ones. Whatever happens, happens. Chances are it could conflict with all the free outdoor stuff I like to do in the summer anyway.

so, is the following reasonable speculation?

1) continuing leakage of the 18US+3UK scenario but no official announcement until...

2) press event, including a smattering of fans, direct from the LA soundstage rehearsals with Taylor and Wyman

3) vaguely erotic sensation of ticketmaster/stubhub/ebay vacuum nozzles cleaning out your pockets

A Philly DJ said that he received a call today from someone at the Wells Fargo Center stating that the gigs are in June. It still could be rumor for all we know.

I've been to the WF Center many times, and saw the Stones there on the No Security tour and the 40 Licks tour.

It was not a dress, it was a white "frock" and quite memorable obviously!

I'm looking forward to the Wells Fargo Philly show, MGM Vegas, and the NY or NJ shows when they get there. MetLife is the arena at The Meadowlands, it isnt the same as Giant's Stadium but its at the same location.  I read these 18 US shows will all be arena shows, not stadium shows which smart due to weather uncertainties.
