how bout a translation voodoo?
The comedy gets lost in the translation. The lyrics are not funny per se. What’s funny is that he is rapping (which is a very urban), but he is rapping with a really stereotypical Mexican country accent, using lots of Mexican slang. Then, he tries to flavor it with English, but he purposely exaggerates the Mexican accent.
Partial Translation:
Don Cheto's Ganga Style Parody Translated LyricsWell, like y’all know I’m really country and hilly-billy.
I grew up near the corn rows, cattle and livestock.
But, one day, because I was too nosy,
the cops grabbed me and took me to the slammer

Be proud of your neighborhood, but don’t take out guns
It’s just joking for the “cholos” and the “cholas”
Let’s see those tattoos and represent your clique
Because being dressed like a bald-headed cholo is what is in style.
It doesn’t matter what colors you have on.
South, North, Westside, Eastside
Oh, Please God protect me from a drive by shooting.
The dance and so cool
Pure Gang Style

Be careful you don’t drop the soap

Mashed Potatoes is not food!
I don’t want it anymore!
You know what I’m saying homes?
