Let It Bleed, bought at a headshop at tender age of 13.  Does anyone remember headshops?

Oh yes, very much so, black light posters, incense sticks & everything incense, rolling papers, hash pipes, rock posters, bootleg vinyl on & on.

Release day is very special to me. Starting with Voodoo Lounge, I have bought everything on the first day. The only one I skipped is GRRR.

First album i got my hands on was my sisters copy of GHS (with Star Star edited very badly). Xmas 78 i got the Decca box set. So technically, not a real bunch of albums i guess, but an awesome intro to the band. Being 78, and apart from knowing HTW, Satisfaction & something odd like Route 66 (as my sis had that Stones compilation with the b/w pic of Miick with the colored red lips), my 1st Stones record was Miss You single, then Miss You 12 inch

The t-shirt was frigging cool! First time i heard Gimme Shelter i stood with my mouth gaping. How could music be this good? When i heard Sympathy for the 1st time, i cried.

Still do.

And that t-shirt wouldnt even go over 1 arm now!!

The first album I got was Aftermath for Christmas in '66 which was kinda strange as I had seen them in concert on May 7, 1965 in Clearwater...I couldn't afford LP's so I had most of their 45's.

My mom was born in 1946 and was a big fan, so I grew up with ALL their records...heck, I remember when Let It Blled was the 'new' album!  My personal first was, like Ian, 'High Tides And Green Grass' on my 13th birthday in 1977.
