Hand Of Fate...all others were either MTV fodder...FM staples...of B side juke box hits...
r.e. Heaven...was all over TV as that was the main song played for the Tattoo You ( or Still Life) TV commercials.
I actually didn't know people in their 20's really knew the Stones...they may know who they are ( that band my dad listens too) \
but not something they actually activly purchase...( Dude, they put out Albums!! ( not vinyl) )
Please understand...i don't put you down because of your age...i find your questions fascinating as well as amusing...i don't think that artist put out TV commercials anymore for albums, do they? i don't know,
I have 2 kids who are 7, so we don't have TV in the house.
But bands used to actually have TV commercials for their albums...and there is a Cable TV station called MTV ( Music Television) that used to show
music videos by bands, first for about 8 hrs a day...then for about 14 hrs a day...eventually they went to a 24 hr format supplemented by weird TV shows and and "dance parties". They also pioneered reality TV and specialty music shows like YO! MTV Raps and cartoons like Beavis & Butthead and Aeon Flux
Here is an article about the network:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MtvThe network was essentially "invented"by Mike Nesmith of the 60's TV show, The Monkees
Keep asking questions...that is how you learn!!
