What does everybody think???? Do you think they will tour in 2013????? Yes, No, Don't know?

I,too, would like to see a limited tour with extended time in various locations affording the band ample rest and give it their all!!

This would cut overhead and though, I would not hold my breath, possible lower ticket prices.

Yes, multiple shows over a couple of weeks in selected cities NY, Chicago , LA, but, only one night   in Omaha, NB.
Multiple shows in Vegas next fall at MGM or Caesar's to complete the North American leg.

LA means the west coast...Etc...means Raleigh/Durham...

I think they will tour major markets in limited shows. They cant ignore bit U.S. cities like Chicago or L.A. Japan would be a big money spinner. With the Aussie a long time worth more than the U.S. dollar, i think they would be nuts to not tour Oz. And N.Z. Asia, India. I cant see stadium shows. Just very, very expensive arena shows and YES i think they will say it's their last. Or, we are all very bloody naive to think there will another tour after this.

I still consider that past 5 shows to be a testing ground for demand and pricing. And unfortunately, it dont look no good for poor bastards like me.

And ya know what? I reckon M.T. will tag along too. Maybe graduate to 2 songs a night. And maybe he'll move more than Keith does!

Corgi your presumption of their past five shows as a testing ground is spot-on. That is exactly what it was... brought to us on behalf of their 50th Anniversary is what it was.

If it went well... great...it can most likely be done again in stints. If it didn't point to the demand and such as they figured, oh well, they still had their 50th celebrations and we would not know the difference really and it would of been time to think of possibly scaling back ticket prices or sticking to single shows here and again.

However, The are STILL The Rolling Stones as it turned out and folks will pay up to see em., no prob. It was their 50th celebrations and at the same time it was a testing bed to see if they can roll into that concept safely in the future. Things all pointed to they certainly can take on that concept again. People will travel to see them.. the shows will sell out... and they can command some major ticket prices and let us not forget... they proved to themselves they could pull off the shows. Mick was not worried but it was Keith and possibly Charlie and Ronnie a tad that also had to show to themselves they can still all do it and deliver without fatigue or problems or whatever. I'm sure going in they obvious figured they would be able to do it (..no worries ..) but it is more a tangible item in the near future knowing they certainly did in the fashion they did.


Their 50th celebrations was indeed killing two birds with one stone... (no pun intended hehe):

1. Test = Passed ...and for the most part with flying colors physically and financially. Next like-venture is certainly possible.
2. 50th = Celebrated and done. Great stuff.
