HE WAS ALMOST REPLACED BY LEAVELL FOR THE 81 TOUR.
HE WASNT ASKED TO DO THE 82 TOUR AND CHUCK BEEN THE PIANIST SINCE.
MAC HAD A BIT OF A FREEBASE PROBLEM AT THE TIME AND WAS CONSIDERED A BAD INFLUENCE ON WOODY,WHO WAS SERIOUSLY MESSED ON BASE AND WAS ALMOST SACKED.

His autobiography is one of the best music autobiographies ever written

The Stones basically came across as penny pinchers who use people and shit all over them. No surprise there.

He got the call to play on the Some Girls sessions for a few days and getting ANY payment out of them pretty much WAS like getting blood from a stone.

Then again, he DID put up with it and toured with them afterwards!
