There will almost certainly be a tour in 2013. I think these prices are so exorbitant because its just four shows in two continents and when theyre selling 80,000 tickets they can get away with it a lot easier than they can if theyre trying to sell 3 or 4 million tickets.

I'd expect the shows next year to be relatively-speaking a bit more affordable.

Yeah, but the 29/11 gig is a day after my birthday and I haven't seen those bastards live since 2006 and this video really got me going...  you made a grown man cry

Damn the crisis and damn their out-of-touch sense of reality!

Looks like I'll be having a watch party, which is fine by me.

We'll see what next year brings for tour dates in the US.

Damn...as luck has it, I am LEAVING the British Isles the day of the first London show.  My daughter attends the University of Edinburgh and I am visiting for ten days.  I would have easily made it eleven or twelve had I known this when I got the tickets last summer!  I must settle for Jersey...

out of my price range at this time, so i will be giving these shows a miss.

Best of luck to all RO'ers in securing tickets.  Fuck you Gazza, Will ya?

I'll still expect to see you and S and maybe even Daisy, even if you don't buy a ticket to either show. I predict, however that you will break down and attend one of them.  You rock!

If the 15th is indeed a PPV, wouldn't the setlist on the 13th be identical; a dress rehearsal if you will?

Also, are the cameras a hindrance in any way???

I'm so out of luck that I've to give them a miss.. for the next year the same. Not affordable for me the prices.  And now I cant really  move me  from here. Best of the luck to all the Ro'ers that will might have the tickets.

I can dig that these 4 shows are "special" shows, with Jagger hinting at "friends" joining them, but those prices are incredible. Bordering on ridiculous! Certainly not for the average fan. Those fronts rows are gonna be full of dazzling white teeth & fake tits.

I assume a "normal" 2013 tour will be more appropriately priced, because, last tour or not, no one can justify such greedy prices.

They better not pull that shit here.

P.S. I loved the line about the O2 nose bleed seats. "Not recommended to people with a fear of heights". LMFAO!

They don't say....LOL

Can any musical act in history possibly be more out of touch with the real world?

Awaits the obligatory and inevitable 'we're just like old bluesmen' type quote from Keith, any day now...

The thing is, across the boards, even the most cheerleader-esque fans are for the most part waking up to see what a piss-take this is.  Which does make you wonder how many people really are going to pay £450 or $750 for what are often pretty ordinary seats in an arena in a recession and coming up to Christmas.

Like I said earlier, expect some serious pushing of these tickets once they go on sale under the illusion that theyre all thats available.

Do we HAVE to get into THIS pissing contest again???
Fuck Springsteen.
He'll be touring every year for the next 25 years.
This is about the final shows EVER of The Rolling Stones.
250.00 for a ticket is doable; you just have to WANT it bad enough.

I saw this coming & prepared myself for this.
They come to my home area, I'll make an attempt
Otherwise, I am with you
I've got great memories of seeing them & meeting super people.
Time marches on

I will add they will sell out these shows.
There is a section of the populace which will pay for this as they would theatre, Super Bowl, etc.
I'm not sorry it is not myself.  I may have if this did not come in the time of year it has.
I'm a Red Sox fan, wait till next year is a well understood concept.

A concert shouldnt primarily be about emotional blackmail, though. And thats really what this is.

You could make the same 'this could be the last time' argument for every Stones tour for the last three decades.

$250 is very expensive but yes, I agree its doable. How many tickets are in that 'doable' range is another matter, though. They may be a lot less plentiful than most people imagine. Historically, that tends to be the case for New York and London concerts. If thats the case, then these prices are absolutely indefensible.

The contempt the band have for their fans is higher than it ever has been, unfortunately.
