Like Robin Williams would say, The Stones need to tour again to pay for Mick's babies.

Per the e-mail circular from Bill German :

It's highly likely that the Stones will extend their "tour" into 2013,
visiting the Far East and/or Australia early in the year before heading back
to America and Europe.

Good option. I'd imagine that there'll be somewhat less demand for the second night as its being broadcast.

And you'll get them looser on the 13th!

thats the plan man!!!

Rolling Stones Confirm 50th Anniversary Concerts
'The boys are cooking in the back room,' Keith Richards tells Rolling Stone

After months of rumors, the Rolling Stones have announced dates for their 50 and Counting . . . The Rolling Stones Live tour. The band will perform November 25th and 29th at London's O2 Arena and December 13th and 15th at Newark's Prudential Center. Ticketing information is available on their website. "The boys are cooking in the back room," Keith Richards tells Rolling Stone. "See you all in the front room very soon."

A press release announcing the tour promises an "all new, custom-built set design with a stage based on the band's ubiquitous and celebrated tongue and lips logo, which will reach out into the crowd and become a truly must-see and -hear experience, with integral video screens and effects enhancing the sort of high-octane adventure for which the band's concerts have been famous for decades."

Rare and Intimate Photos of the Rolling Stones

The shows will be promoted by Virgin Live, a new organization spearheaded by Richard Branson and tour promoter Paul Dainty. "In the future Virgin Live plans to make a real difference to how fans experience, interact and enjoy live events," Branson said in a statement. "Who would have believed, that a relationship with the band that started in the Sixties, would still be going strong five decades later with us working together again on these amazing shows."

The Rolling Stones haven't performed in public since their Bigger Bang tour ended in August of 2007. They came together earlier in Paris earlier this year to record two new cuts for their upcoming compilation album GRRR!, which hits shelves on November 13th. The new single "Doom and Gloom" was released last week. Crossfire Hurricane, a new documentary chronicling their fifty-year career, will premiere on HBO on November 13th.

As of now, only these four concerts have been announced, though it seems likely the tour will continue in 2013. Contrary to widespread rumors, the American shows are in Newark and not Brooklyn's brand new Barcalys Center. "I'm so looking forward to playing live in the New York/New Jersey area again," Mick Jagger tells Rolling Stone.  "It's going to be a great celebration."

The final show of the four-night tour will be broadcast live via Pay Per View. Entitled One More Shot, the broadcast will be distributed by WWE.

Tickets for the Newark show range from $98.50 to $813.

Check out this video of the band officially announcing the tour, in which Jagger says they may have "a few friends joining us" at the shows:

Any chance the pay per view is the final concert? And One More Shot is a classic Stones hit (thus the pay per view name)?

Pretty crazy prices, but to be expected, if i was in london at the time, 100 wouldn't be too bad but with flights and hotels this late its a no-go for me.

Just have to cling to the phrase "50 & counting.." and maybe see them some time next year

It does feel like they're saying, if you have to question whether you can afford these you're not welcome but they know they'll get it, they've been crying "farewell tour" since 71 and now people can believe it considering they are 71.

Good to see them back again though, can't wait to watch the PPV

The Yankee fans a fed up with the bullshit the Front Office has been pulling with the high ticket prices. I went to the game yesterday and got a $220 ticket for $20.....That's the only way I'll go see the Stones, it worked last tour at Giants stadium, got in on a twenny dolla bill.  Blank Frigging Stare

I agree... They are going to No Security this Motherfucker for the USA and Europe... Those in the far east and oz... now you may not get another chance...
A winter/spring, maybe even summer thing will be happening... I expect arenas & festivals... I wouldn't be surprised if they play ACL here in aTx next October!!!

and you can and will ber able to get into most shows way under face value, that will not change... trust me!!!

From what I've heard this arena in NJ is no place to be lurking around in the dark trying to get under valued scalped tickets. Recipe for getting robbed.....and fake tix

couple of things....

I'm not sure re pit at mo. Need pics. Will you have to keep swirling about to see the band. Will they end up behind us so they can play to the rest of the arena? And front row floor tix, how far away will Charlie be ?

From Bill German : It's highly likely that the Stones will extend their "tour" into 2013,
