This comes from a GRRRRRRRRRReek website  (sorry, couldnt resist!) - hence the "loose" translation.

An interview with Chuck Leavell. Interestingly, "One Last Shot" is one that Keith brought in.

Are you participating in the new Rolling Stones songs “Gloom and Doom” and “One Last Shot”, which will be released in November?

Yes, I’m very excited about the songs which will be released about the anniversary of 50 years in November.  We were in Paris to record them. Keith brought the song “One Last Shot”, which has a really great title and with this I think about how we could have another shot. We had a great fun during the recordings, we were all together, very close, and we all had some joy during the process. We will see if the men will decide to some other activity. Right now, there is no announcement to be made. But, I ‘m certainly hopeful to be able to do some other activity. More than it is.

Full interview is here : http://www.hit-channel.com/chuck-leavell-solothe-rolling-stonesthe-allman-brothe...

man, I really don't want a Keith slow crooner tune and a Mick Goddess out take.

One Last Shot should be a ballad and Doom and Gloom a mid-tempo rocker. Thats my guess.

Just find a listing of the top 48 Stones songs played on radio and there you have it.  Don't suck my cock

the 36 oldies on 40 Licks.

Come On, I Wanna Be Your Man, Tell Me, Little Red Rooster, Heart of Stone, Time is On My Side, 2000 Light Years From Home, we Love You

the two new songs

and 4 others from 1971 onwards.

Thats my bet.

Maybe as they did on 40 Licks they'll contrive to omit a couple of covers (ie Rooster, TIOMS, etc) despite their significant part in the band's history in order to maximise the number of Jagger-Richards compositions and get extra publishing royalties.

Ideally, it would be 10 songs from each decade...It would be a considerable struggle to find 18 songs ( minus D&G and OLS ) from 1990-2010

anyone care to come up with these last 2 virtual discs??

What About 80tracks edition plus bonus disc???

Hope this time we can get Shes So Cold and One Hit in a compilation album.

The bonus disc will be an dvd with 15mins of the Crossfire Hurricane? or will be a cd compilation of rarities 2??? The new tracks will be released in the 7" Vinyl???

More than it is.

man, I really don't want a Keith slow crooner tune and a Mick Goddess out take.

____________________________________

Ya ... as well, I guess Chuck spoke a touch more about em today I saw in a snippet. He went on to say that Keith brought in "One More Shot" and that the song has a great guitar riff. "Gloom and Doom" is uptempo in which the title is sort of deceiving. Jagger has a girl and all she whines about is gloom and doom type stuff, in which Mick wants to just go out and party and dance it up with her for a change. That song is Micks "baby".

Additionally, Chuck was directly asked if he thought Keith could actually handle, and/or have the "dexterity", as was asked, for a full tour these days being as there was talk of his health and all these days. He was directly asked this and actually said he thinks Keith would have ..."no problem" in doing such. He said spending time with The Stones lately was a good time and the energy was good between them, lotta huggs and laughing and they all rehearsed very well together and everyone was "healthy" and positive about things to come.

This is very good news.

Well...I am sure Chuck wants to keep his job...and would NEVER say something like: "Keith is having trouble keeping up...with certain chords...remembering to go to the bathroom...etc..."
What else would you expect him to say about his employer??

Also...nothing against Chuck...but what is it with Jagger to ask Chuck to figure out 20-30 songs they could practice/play in Paris? Doesn't Jagger know the names of 30 RS songs?
I know that Chuck is the "musical Director"and figures out the nightly set list ( give me that fucking job for a 10th of his pay, and I can email it to Mick), but how different could a list by Chuck be from one made by Mick? They haven't all played together in 5 years...it's not like there is any real insight right now...except maybe...no falsettos...no Dirty Work stuff  Tongue...and perhaps Let's open up the show with a real surprise...SMU!!!  Angry

Well I don't think they're going to change anything now. Ideally,Keith would be able to put together a group of songs for them to rehearse.Instead of Mick telling Chuck to do it.

From a post by Gazza:

More from Chucky in an interview published yesterday in Atlanta Music Scene:

http://blogs.ajc.com/atlanta-music-scene/2012/09/13/chuck-leavell-chats-about-ro lling-stones-tour-rumors-capricorn-show-and-nature/?cxntfid=blogs_atlanta_music_
scene

Relevant Stones-related parts :

Q. You spent some time with the Rolling Stones recently…

A. We had our first rehearsal in May. It was the first time we’d been in the same room together in five years. It was just fantastic. I cannot say enough about it. It was just the core band – six of us – and the exercise was basically, we haven’t done this in awhile so let’s see if we still remember. Mick [Jagger] had called me and said, listen, how about putting together a list of 20 or 30 songs that would be good for us to do.

Q. For what reason, exactly?

A. Well, you know, I think mainly to test the waters and see how everybody was, the health of everyone. And the answer is, everyone was healthy, happy, energetic.
