I think that they (our dear stones) find it pretty boring and childish to make "Greatest hits package" and that's their way to let us know it... So wait, brotha & sista, next one gonna be the real one! Now we have a single (2 new songs) to wait for and let the good times roll! We're gonna have the lp for the tour (next year)! See you next year! ;P

I am not even sure that if the 2 songs were actually good songs ( 8+/10) that this would be forgivable...

I could only view it as a down payment for at least an EP with 5 more really good songs and NO FILLER...They have THREE songwriters in the band FSS!!!
I don't need "an album containing the most songs since Exile"...give us a total of 7 really good songs and I will forgive the GRRRilla my dreams.

PEOPLE:

The celebration, and official year for The Rolling Stones 50 is THIS year... (2012) per their website, and from the official releases.
They have a book, a movie, and a greatest hits...plus a few special shows planned to celebrate. THAT is their 50 year anniversary.

Next year, if they tour, is not going to be a continuation of this years festivities....nor will they tout it as such. It will be a separate ordeal entirely.

How on earth can you celebrate your anniversary and start it two years in a row?? (...and I don't care WHAT Keith says...or what articles say here and there).

If they do something next year ...Forget about it being part of the 50 bash... it isn't going to be (and rightfully so)....the goings-on for those things are almost among us right now. Geez ...next fall what are they going to be doing?...talking about going on their 50th anniversary tour still?? .... come on. There will be a fork put in that concept by then... they know that.

Rolling Stones: Hey everyone ...its our 50 year anniversary.

Many People: Oh... well wait hmmm? ..wasn't that last year? ...with the book, movie, greatest hits package, and special shows and all that jazz?

Rolling Stones: Well yeah ...last year...this year... whichever you prefer.. .. .. sort of both actually.
