As for poor glenny and the fact that he's not around to defend himself - I was looking for a post of his in the archives and came across this gem:

See, here's the thing. I'm fine with the first part of this. I opened myself up for anything anyone wanted to say by leaving the way I did. I'm sure there was much worse stuff said about me. I brought it on myself, and I regret losing my temper. It's the last part, about the Hershey show. I don't think Glencar was even there! There was a pretty big gathering of ROers in the parking lot before the show - I remember Luxy was there, SS, Marko, Maxmeister - so if Glennie WAS there, he must've been POUTING ACROSS THE STREET! (rimshot!)
I was there with my girlfriend AND my son. And no one in their right mind would ever mistake the two, unless he seriously thought my 13-year-old son had ample bosoms and his hair up in pigtails. So, although I thank Glencar for "keeping this story quiet", I think there's no strong reason for us not to talk a little smack about him from time to time. We're playing by his rules.

Yesterday in the thread where all of the usual right-wing assholes were desperately trying to stick up for their hero Rush Limbaugh, frantically erecting strawmen and changing the subject, I somehow missed Telecaster's comments about my girlfriend. Not even original - basically a rehash of the same reprehensible, cowardly and oh-so-Republican tactics employed by Tele's boyfriend Fiji, who later (upping his own cowardice dramatically) later denied ever saying it, and very reminiscent of their idol Dick Cheney in outing Valerie Plame. Like I said, I missed it, until SHE read it a minute ago and pointed it out to me. Of course she's insulted, hurt, probably confused as to why she's being attacked here where she rarely even posts, and highly disappointed in me for continuing to post here, opening her up to attacks by assholes she doesn't even know. And she's right about all of that. I love her more than anything, and there's certainly nothing here that is even remotely as important as that. God knows I don't care much about the Stones anymore - dried up old greedy men wringing every last penny out of people who can't decide whether they passed their peak 20 or 30 years ago. I've got some friends here, but they all know what my email address is, and they know they're welcome at my house anytime they're in the neighborhood.
I've also got some enemies here, and anyone who thinks "we all love the Stones, that's all that matters" is insane. The differences between us are life and death. We're not even of the same species. So Tele, as well as Fiji, Max, Nanker, Riffy and your few pathetic right-wing groupies - fuck off. The future will judge you for your views, even if you held them solely for the purpose of pissing off liberals. Hmmm. Actually, now that I re-read that, it doesn't seem all THAT crazy. A bit hyperbolic, but I was basically sticking up for my girlfriend. We're no longer together, but she's still a dear friend, and I would still choose her company over that of any internet pals if another "pouting across the street" situation arose. On that also-infamous occasion, I was WITH MY GIRLFRIEND across the street. I didn't want to leave her there, and I damn sure didn't want to drag her over to a gathering of people who had been calling her a "fat chick" for weeks (even if it was only to piss ME off).
Of the people I named at the end of my "flameout", I sincerely regret including Nankerphelge, who I always thought was a good guy, and still do. Politics are poison, and one should always re-consider before hitting the "post" button. As for the rest of those folks - I thought I called them nazis, I guess it was in the title of the post - it seems like none of them are here anymore. I'm not too ashamed of telling Tele or Fiji or Riffy to fuck off, not because of politics, but because they were such unpleasant people.
I've mellowed quite a bit in the past few years. I'm not trying to be Hunter S. Thompson anymore. I was diagnosed with MS in 2010, and I guess it's taught me to get my priorities straight.
So anyway, what was I saying? Oh yeah - FUCK Glencar. He was a lying little bitch, and I can only assume that he still is.
