Certainly hit hard & played 3 1/2 quarters, but for most of the end of the game, Niners were owned by the Pats. We do not have a "vaunted D", there's no analyst or writer in the land who has ever called us a "vaunted D". We are not high on any D stats. We have a developing D. That's what they were when we lost to the Cardinals & Seahawks, as our D stunk for at least 6 games. This goes back to last year, & actually to 4 & 2 in Indy in '06. Killer Instinct syndrome, we did not have it. Before Talib came & now it's opened up McCourty to solidify the D, Mayo to open up, others to step up. You saw Killer Instinct syndrome open up 28 unanswered points from about the 8 min mark in the 3rd qtr to the 6 min to go in the 4th last night. 28 unanswered points on consecutive drives, with the Niners responding with several 3-outs. During that time, Brady had all sorts of time in the pocket. Niners did a great job managing the end of the game to win. Our defense was spent. It's a very young D, which has matured quickly. No one got lucky, the win by the Niners was earned. The Niners can be beat, vaunted D & all....
