Keith supposedly had a slew of songs and was working in the studio about four or five months or so back back with producer / musician Steve Jordan on these items. Charlie mentioned that Keith is doing a record (or records ) very recently in an interview. Keith said he was going to let Jagger hear the songs to see if he was interested in contributing to them for Stones songs and if he wasn't he was going to keep them and continue working on them himself.
What became of this? It would be very bad, and cumbersome timing for him to try and release it as anything solo this spring or summer with all the supposed Stones doings (whatever they may entail). Did he shelf this material or what became of all this? Anyone have a clue?

Keith's never made a record thats been released that quick after he started recording it. He's notoriously slow.
About a year is the norm, going by the two Winos records.
I had my doubts at the time as to whether he was making a full length album, and still do.
Maybe he was just working on some songs that the Stones might do at some point. I wouldn't hold my breath, though.
Saying that, Pierre de Beauport has made a few cryptic comments on facebook about working in the studio in the last couple of months, so who knows.
