Thanks Mel....after so many bad years it's great to have a contender finally. Not sure the Nats are playing well enough right now to win it all but if you're in ya got a chance. Braves are really hot and pitching better than anyone right now. Kimbrel is lights out in the pen while Nats closers have cooled. Should be great playoffs with a lot of teams having excellent shots to win it all.

What is happening with Strasburg, has he been infected with the dreaded "Boras Disease"?

Nellie, just like the Nats did with Jordan Zimmerman last year they shut him down after 160 innings. Both pitchers coming off Tommy John and the doctors seem to think about 160 innings is the first year back number. (but I think they keep him out) (now dreaming..lol)I'm still not counting Stras out for playoffs as even 12 innings with his stuff would be a heckuva a boost. Nats had a great season from all starters and had no injuries there and won with depth. Now when you shrink the rotation and eliminate Strasburg they look average at best especially looking at last 6 weeks performances. Nats closers have cooled off too. Braves are hot...look out. Giants have better 3 man staff..then Reds have great balance....it's wide open as we say here!

A's and Giants both make the playoffs. Another bay Bridge World Series? Minus the earthquake this time. What the fuck?

I can't remember a year when so many teams have a legit shot at winning it all......You can make a case for all teams and each taem has flaws which should make these playoffs pretty exciting. Good luck to all.......

The way Medlen is pitching Braves at home should win.....Don't like Orioles starter from a numbers perspective....but Rangers have been known to choke

I think the Orioles have a bout 15 relievers on their roster today. Doesn't matter who starts. Plus the way the Rangers choked down the stretch. I don't think they bounce back.

Well we now know what happened to the replacement refs...they were in Atlanta yesterday calling the "infield" fly..maybe the worst call in the history of the game..and that huge gag you hear coming out of Texas is the Rangers choking again.

It would be riots in the streets here if the Sox shut down their best pitcher & be down in a playoff series.
Rizzo the GM must be quaking in his boots.

Giants are on the verge of pulling off the impossible. Down 2-0. Win 3 in a row on the road. Timmay was balls to the wall today. Bruce Bochy is a fucking genius. Fuck you Gazza, Will ya?

Jayson Werth with the walkoff. Nats still alive. Don't really care who wins game 5. I just hope it goes 30 innings! The real Rolling Stones tongue

Johnson is a pretty stubborn manager and won't change the lineup. Desmond should be hitting second and drop Harper who is over matched down in order. Put Lombardozzi at second as Espinosa is a strikeout waiting to happen. This is the game they reqally needed Strasburg. Getting past Cards with two lefties in a row will take a miracle. Course so was Werth going yard.

Probably been said before, however, does Werth do the Geico ads?
