RIP ..Kid...one of the all time greats and another of my long lost Expos....watched his last career base hit versus Cubs at Montreal to win game 1-0......oddly enough the hit went over Hawk Dawson's head....another former Spos great....so sad that with better ownwership in Montreal a great legacy would still be in place..Team was doomed when forced to play in that shitty Olympic stadium the biggest boondoggle in sports history......

I pretty much agree on all counts. The Nats rotation will cool off, but I still think they're likely to be awfully good all year. Question is, what happens without Strasburg in September? Will the bullpen hold up? They're going to need Zimmerman, Gonzalez, and Jackson to go deep into games...

The Phillies are what they are: a .500-ish club. The addition of Howard and Utley will help, but not dramatically.

went last wednesday people showed but left after blowing lead and following mets errors with ours. after blanton retired we had four more pitching changes. amazing after last year. no wonder manuels gettin ejected he needs someone to yell at!!!

yup..but since the kid has rocked 2 homers......Nats are so snake bit injury wise Ramos their catcher tears his ACL..they call up a good rookie from AA and he sprains his ankle in fIrst game and now on DL......Strasburg will be shut down after 160 because they will be out of it. They have Chien Ming Wang ready to come in healthy soon and a kid Rosenbaum in AA who is 5-0 with 0.71 era.....

Wow this thread is buried back on page 5?.....Hmmmmmm...could it be cause my Nats own the best record in baseball?....Course now I have jinxed them by moving this thread back up the list. Wonder what the Vegas odds were that on August 12th Nats would be 19.5 games up on the Phils?..or the Braves would win 7 of 8 and drop back a game?. Been with Nats since Expos started in 1969 so enjoying this ...for now
