how many people can look so classy in a PINK blazer??

Yes Charlie does look classy in his pink blazer! It looks like a recent pic. I wonder if this pic was taken at the JAZZ STANDARD when Charlie was in NYC. Where is Charlie these days, at his home in South of London?

Inside the JAZZ STANDARD in NYC, a jazz club which has been operating for years, there are pictures hung on the wall displaying many great performers who have played at the club since the 20's and its a lesson in history showing many of the old time jazz and blues musicians to the present day artists. Inside is the restaurant BLUE SMOKE, one of the best in the city. Anyone visiting NYC should catch a dinner show there, someone plays every night of the week and its a very cool place. If you arent into jazz the artists vary from bluegrass to blues, funk and latino. I caught Tim Reis's gig there a year or so ago and was very impressed with the club.  Jazz, blues, and barbecue—hard to go wrong with that!

Sorry about that, I didn't notice the pictures behind Charlie, I thought it was a thread on all the great drummers, Charlie likes drummers I never heard of, but then again I'm not into jazz, especially from the 30's/40's.

I saw Elvin One night and he made he go home and Cry.........he was so good I felt I did not deserve to be ever be hind a set of drums......He killed me that night.
I was simple blow away at the way he played. He took total command of the drumset, band, audience, me, my future, The room, ETC.........
It's an evening I'll never forget. I was in the presence of Drumming Greatness. PERIOD!
