Filmed at the end of 1979 in New York when they were finishing 'Emotional Rescue', but wasnt broadcast on Jamaican TV until around autumn 1980, I think.

There cant be too many interviews where Jagger has those whiskers either, I would imagine.

The full thing's a bit longer than this, though. It was shown in two parts (as Earl 'Chinna' Smith says at the end) and probably runs for about 40 minutes in all. Haven't watched it for a long time, but its one of the few places to find the 'version 2' of the 'Emotional Rescue' promo video (the 'band performance' one as opposed to the 'thermographic' film) - presumably its in part 2 as its not in this clip.

In an odd sort of way, IMO, the beard fit Mick. It didn't make his face look aged, as it did to Jim Morrison; nor did he look like a stereotypical Hippie as George and John of the Beatles did when they wore beards...It made Mick look more mature, more like an adult and less like an eternal "kid".
