Z.Z. Top for me, Van Halen were great for their time, their first album was a break through for the "Brown" sound, Eddie being Speedy Gonzales on guitar, but the bickering in the band were too much after the break up, it was like Peyton Place, Eddie having a Ego as big as the Grand Canyon along with David Lee Roth who copied the lead singer in Black Oak Arkansas (Jim Dandy)

Van Halen is/was basically a hair band. So I guess it would be better to square them off against Nelson or Poison..the bluegrass version of Jump by DLR a couple of years ago was hilarious btw.
