The Rolling Stones: Lyric & Chord Songbook Released by Alfred Music

...

Alfred Music Publishing is proud to announce the release of The Rolling Stones: Lyric & Chord Songbook, an essential pocket reference to over 50 classic Rolling Stones songs.

Perfect for fans, musicians, and guitarists, The Rolling Stones: Lyric & Chord Songbook is the ultimate collection of The Rolling Stones' career highlights with chart-topping song favorites like "19th Nervous Breakdown, " "Brown Sugar, " "Get Off My Cloud, " "Honky Tonk Women, " "Jumpin' Jack Flash, " "Paint it Black, " "Ruby Tuesday, " "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, " "Time is on My Side, " and many more. In addition to being a fundamental Stones reference guide to share with other musicians and friends, all songs are arranged in lyric/chord format with all of Keith Richard's key guitar riffs in TAB.

From the start of their musical debut in 1962, The Rolling Stones is largely credited for incorporating American blues into popular rock and roll with their hard-driving, blues-based style led by prototypical front-man, Mick Jagger. Their enduring career is filled with 92 singles, 29 studio albums, and 10 live albums. The Stones' revolutionary approach to rock music has acquired the band several awards over the years, including a Grammy "Lifetime Achievement Award" in 1987, 1995 Grammy Awards for "Best Music Video, Short Form" ("Love is Strong"), "Best Rock Album" (Voodoo Lounge), and a 2005 World Music Award for "World's Greatest Touring Band of All Time."

As part of Alfred's ongoing commitment to improving the environment, this songbook is printed on 100% recycled paper.

The Rolling Stones: Lyric & Chord Songbook (00-38781) is now available for $19.99 at music retail stores and at alfred.com/guitar.

Titles: Jumpin' Jack Flash * Honky Tonk Women * Brown Sugar * (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction * Let It Bleed * Wild Horses * You Can't Always Get What You Want * Paint It Black * Street Fighting Man * Under My Thumb * and many more.

Continually amazes me how guitar-tab publishers have neglected Mick Taylor. "Sticky Fingers" — one of the Stones' best-selling and most beloved albums — has never been tabbed in full, even though "Beggars Banquet," "Let It Bleed," and "Exile on Main St." have been. "Goats Head Soup" and "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll" have only seen their hit singles tabbed.

Granted, it didn't sell much, but MT's solo album is a treasure-trove of great licks.

And the Bluesbreakers stuff? Nada.

I'd love to see Hal Leonard or whoever do a complete anthology of MT, 1967-1979. How awesome would that be?

The great benefit about Sheet Music is now it's in the actual key it was recorded in, I remember years ago Stones Music Books were in piano keys, Eb, Bb, etc, & not only for The Stones but any sheet music for Rock & Roll, we come a long way, & even now one doesn't have to know sheet music to play, it's in Tab!!
I've got The London Years as a Music book, even though it's owned by ABKCO, it's a treasure, all these early songs in the actual key!
