At least two of those songs were recorded after Some Girls was released. Both of them covers.

'Tallahassee Lassie' was done at RCA in Hollywood in August 1978. I doubt there's an alternate take recorded for Some Girls.

'We Had It All' was cut in the Bahamas in early 1979. I guess its inclusion is to give Keith an obligatory lead vocal. ('I Need You' would have sufficed, surely?)

They must have done over 40 songs for Some Girls and (as they did with 'Title 5' on Exile which is almost certainly a Satanic Majesties era song) they've chosen to fuck around with historical accuracy once again. Grrr.

Still, its good to see that we're getting 12 songs instead of two, that 'Do You Think I Really Care' and 'Claudine' are being released (presumably they've got around the legal wrangles with the latter one way of another).

'When You're Gone' is a Ronnie co-write, which was reworked as an instrumental for his solo album '1-2-3-4' in 1981 as 'Red Eyes'.

Unless these are songs we already know with corrected titles, 'Don't Be A Stranger' and 'Keep up Blues' appear to be totally new to collectors. I assume 'Petrol Blues' is the song previously bootlegged as 'Petrol Gang'.

having heard bootleg version of alot of these, it will be interesting to hear them in the 2011 form, and see how much tweaking they have done... This is going to be alot like Emotional Rescue's Companion in some ways... since ER was alot of leftovers, and that's what these are as well... anyone hear if there will be a Japan only track? I'm going to try to not think too much about until release date, and hopefully not get to worked up waiting and make it anti-climatic.

I'm taking info from the sessions noted by Nico. This is what's known and verified. Some tracks we pretty much know what we will get, like We Had It All... I'm thinking will be just like what has circulated on bootlegs... I've never analyzed Nico's stuff to the point of listening to the bootlegs and matching up songs to sessions before... i did notice alot of the songs I have heard on boots before aren't listed on his list... The stuff I used is from France 77 and 78 as listed on Nico's complete works.

I'm just glad that No Spare Parts will be included! I just hope that the new vocal dubs sound good. That was my one complaint about the Exile deluxe box. The vocals seemed to slick for the raunchiness of the original. When this comes out I will be getting it Fast and Furious! Of that you can be sure! LOL!

Yeah, makes no sense to leave out "Fiji Jim"...I just listened to it again, but can't see any hint of "Don't be a Stranger" in there...

All the...stranger since I could still swear that Mick mentioned "Fiji Jim" in an online interview on AOL sometime in 1994 or 1995 as having been rerecorded in NY (So Young was touched up in 12/93 in NYC with five other unnamed tracks). Never found that interview again unfortunately.

"It's a Lie" is a nice track too.
