as lefty has already said, NBC and UMG are part of the same group, so including the SNL footage shouldnt be a problem.

However, its not exactly their finest 15 minutes, what with Mick having a dodgy throat.

Maybe he'll do 2011 vocal overdubs.

Am hearing that the Deluxe will retail in the EU for about €85, which - like the Exile deluxe - is really overpriced (especially when you consider the blu-ray edition of last year's Springsteen 'The Promise' boxed set cost much the same, yet had 3 cds (32 songs) and 3 blu-ray discs which included about 7 hours of video footage)

Cheers, Ian. In an ideal world, I'd love to be granted access to their studio logs to make things more definitive and be able to publish the info in book format or even as an online guide, but thats a bit of a pipedream.

Just those three. There were no videos for Beast of Burden or Shattered.

A bit surprising that they were both US singles ("Respectable" was the second single from the album in the UK - and also the first Stones single I ever bought)

The funny thing for me was that 78, MISS YOU, was what got me into the Stones. I bought the single. Then the 12inch . My sister (a Beatles nut who once had John Lennons bed sheet from Melbourne 1964 - our mum burnt it as "rubbish"), leant me GHS. Igot the Decca box set (with free t-shirt!), i think, made in the shade, between the buttone, ER etc - it was a while before i got Some Girls. Dunno why???

I was in America in 79 when Jerry Lewis did his annual telethon, and the Stones either donated all proceeds from Miss You to that charity, or they indeed, performed the song (or gave permission for the clip to be shown) - i cant recall. But after a fucking 29 hour flight from Melbourne, San Fran , LA - i was so jet lagged, and the 1st thing i saw was the Stones on the Jerry Lewis show - well, the deal was sealed.

I was a Stones junkie!

Still bloody am!

And my great, great Grandfather was a Yank!

So, all in all, with that history, and Mick being half Australian, i feel i deserve something for free!

CD (box set) with all 12 of the previously unreleased songs; a 7-inch vinyl single of the remastered "Beast of Burden"/"When the Whip Comes Down"; a "Some Girls" book; a "Some Girls" set of postcards; a "Some Girls" photo print by Helmut Newton; and a "Some Girls" tour poster.
Digital with all 12 of the previously unreleased songs.
Vinyl with none of the previously unreleased songs. The track listing is the same as the original "Some Girls" release.

Thanks for posting, roger. And good on Carla Hay for the intel.

Won't quibble with the tracklist, but do find it somewhat odd that two of the songs - 'We Had It All' and 'Tallahassee Lassie' - were recorded after the release of 'Some Girls'.

'Claudine' is intriguing. Legal issues be damned, or new lyrics/vocals?

Another that might've gotten the 2011 treatment is 'You Win Again'...Mick swapping out his shambolic vocals with some new tear-in-my-beer C&W.

'Don't Be a Stranger' and 'Keep Up Blues' are the unknowns. Might be the hoped for "lost" gems, or might just be new names for a coupla old ones.

Look forward to hearing all of 'em...
