Keith has been interviewed several times lately and hasn't said anything of the kind.  I doubt he does at this point.  When GQ asked him who he thought the Man of the Year should be he said Mick.  If the slam was going to come there was the perfect opportunity and he didn't take it.  Since it appears the Stones are trying to get something going next year, Keith seems to be keeping comments to himself for now.

I think you hit the nail on the head. His lack of comment on Super Heavy and his remark about Mick as man of the year shows he realises he has gone too far in some ways over the years, and if he wants his baby (The Rolling Stones) to get on the road for one more time he'd better be on friendly, or at least on speaking terms with Mick. No doubt anymore there will be some kind of tour next year.

The only quote I read attributed to him re: SuperHeavy was a few months back, when he said 'I wish him well with it'.

Quite a step up from 'Dogshit in the Doorway'.

His comment at the GQ Awards 'I'd better say Mick!' was by Keith's standards, almost bordering on being publicly contrite!

I think you're all a tad too optimistic because I just think Keith is waiting to make sure something gets locked in contractually and then when the interviews for the tour come around, he'll start being a knob again when he feels that he needs to be the focus of attention. I just think he's hearing it from everyone that what he said in the book was over the top and to make sure something happens, he's pulling back.

I think the barbs and jabs Keith and Mick tossed at each other pre Steel Wheels truly meant something.  I'm sure they still mean something, but I also thing that the lucrative tours they have done from Steel Wheels and beyond have taught them that slagging each other in public leads to more interest which in Keith's mind is great because it may lead to an album/tour, and in Mick's mind is great because it's going to lead to $$$$$ when said album/tour is over.  So it's all win-win for them, despite what they hand out to the press or write in a book.

Georgia Jagger seems to think she'll be spending some time on the road with her old man from next summer...

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/3824226/Georgia-is-a-real-J...

SOME girls want their dads to buy them a pony or a new bag – Georgia Jagger is angling for hers to take her on tour.

The model is keeping a clear diary next summer in the hope the Rolling Stones go on the road in 2012 to celebrate the band's 50th anniversary.

The last time she joined her old man Mick Jagger and the band she would have been too young to get stuck in.

When quizzed about the possibility of the Stones touring next year, Georgia said: "Hopefully when they play again I hope to go with them. It's really, really fun.

"It's just all the people I've grown up with – they're like family to me."

Now Georgia's a student, it would be no bother her wangling the time off.

There's still no official word about whether Mick, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts will give fans what they want and announce a string of gigs.

But they have been in touch a lot more recently – the last time was in central London two weeks ago.

And as long as Mick and Keith can put their bickering aside, the Smart money is on it happening.

It is their 50th anniversary after all. It would be rude not to.

Mick Jagger - Mick Jagger Having Fun With New Rolling Stones Material

19 September 2011 04:19:45 p

Sir Mick Jagger has revealed he has written ''a lot'' of new material for the Rolling Stones and wrote even more when he met up with drummer Charlie Watts.

Sir Mick Jagger has been writing "a lot" for the Rolling Stones.

The 'Brown Sugar' singer revealed he and the band's drummer Charlie Watts recently had a "really good time" performing some of the latest tracks he's penned.

He said: "I have been writing a lot for the Stones. I mean, when I write, I go, 'Yeah, that could be a good Stones tune' or, 'That's not really going to work for that'.

"I did some sessions with Charlie recently where I just played some songs I'd written, and of course I wrote more when he was there.

"I'd start making them up, so that was good fun, so we had a really good time doing that."

The band are set to celebrate their 50th anniversary next year and Mick admitted they are in discussions about some concert dates or even doing a tour.

He explained to The Times newspaper: "Well, we're talking about it but I don't know if it's going to happen.

"Listen, you could do anything you want if you put your mind to it. I don't know what's going to happen next year. We'll see."

However, he revealed the band do not see a lot of guitarist Keith Richards - who infamously claimed Mick had a "tiny todger" in his autobiography 'Life' last year - because he lives in the US.

He added: "Well, I really don't see much of him. The rest of us are all here [in London] quite a lot, and although he comes here occasionally in the summer, I don't think any of us sees him much. He lives in suburban Connecticut."

If Georgia has read Life, her conclusion would be that Keef totally doesn't know to dig up a story. And as far as surprises go, she probably saw her dad leave the shower in one the past years...so she doesn't have to speculate on wether Keith is right or wrong. Beyond that: what's does a shitty book add up to years of the Glimmers swapping insults?

I hope they use the Some Girls release for an announcement. 2012/13 is probably their last shot at hitting the road again and if it's not gonna happen because the Glimmers don't want to play music together but kick each others faces in, they should just say so and get it over with. The news snippets are becoming a bit of a bore.

Hi Teiz.  Nice to see you again.  Now as far as the shower scenario goes?  I'll pass on that discussion.  I think, however, if you actually count the insults you'll find Keith (in mean drunk mode) way ahead.  His book showed who was the smaller man - and it wasn't Jagger.  I think Jagger wants to do new things because he's intelligent, talented, interested and ABLE.  And I say more power to him.  If Keith can do the same then go for it and show us the walk instead of the talk.

Peace out!

hehe...the shower scenario was good huh? Glad to see you know me well enough to know I wasn't looking for a serious reply on that.

As for Keef: I hear ya. It wasn't smart but it's been that way for years. I disagree on Mick doing something new. As I see it, he actually believes in the myth version of Mick. He and Keith aren't that much different in that way. Except Keith wrties a boring book in which he shows his nasty side - I think the remarks on how he got that dude from the Mama's & Papa's addicted annoyed me more than the crap about Mick and Brian btw - and Mick surrounds himself with minor musical talents to play the Ultimate Superstar part. It annoys me. And you're absolutely right when you say he's entitled to have his fun, but I can imagine Lionel Messi playing football with his friends from school too, except I don't think he expects a full stadium to see his new superteam. (Oh, and Messi's currently the greatest football player in the world). Mick has been part of a supergroup for 50 years, but if he really wanted to play ball with other people in his own league, he should've asked Bob, Bruce, Bowie and Macca to join the club. But he's probably to insecure for that. Mick is playing the vanity overload card in a much more professional way than Keith btw.

So as much as I would love the announcement of a new set of shows, I think the Glimmers will need a decent sit down or two before they'll pretend to get along again.

Very positive sign. He is writing material with the idea of it being a Rolling Stones product. As well, Charlie Watts is involved.

Certainly, Mr. Jagger is not only "open" to the idea of recording with The Rolling Stones, he is entertaining it, and to a point starting to work on it. At least at a certain level being as he is working on potential Stones songs with charlie Watts... and many of them according to this article.

... If all goes well... they will record together. That certainly sounds like the objective.

However, if something doesn't go smoothly, it could halt, or hinder progress... so keep your fingers crossed that things continue to go smoothly. However, who are we kidding ? I think Mick knows what the ultimate goal for next year is... "Rolling Stones".

He knows it will more than likely go down. Otherwise what is the point on working on Rolling Stones songs in a studio with Charlie Watts? .. .. ..

Jagger unsure if the Stones of an anniversary tour

NEW YORK (AP) — Rumors of a Rolling Stones 50th anniversary tour have been floating around for months. But if they're true, Mick Jagger isn't saying.

"I have no idea if there is going to be a tour," the Stones frontman said during an interview on Monday. "We haven't really discussed it. We are talking about if next year is the 50th anniversary, sort of. It depends where you are counting from."

Jagger joked that this may not be the golden anniversary for the band, since drummer Charlie Watts was with another group when the Stones first formed.

"I say to Charlie, 'I looked up the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones and you were not playing the drums ... That is so sad that you can't be in the 50th anniversary, Charlie, because you were not there on the date which was July or whenever it was,'" Jagger said, laughing.

The Stones finished their last tour in 2007.

Music, to me, is the joy, right? I love my kids most of the time, and I love my wife most of the time. Music I love all the time. It's the only constant thing in my life. It's the one thing you can count on. :Keith Richards 1993
