Brilliant.
The band is on fire from the first note of Let It Rock to the last riff of JJF.
The stage is right on top of the crowd.
Jagger is a demon, Keith is the pirate, Bill barely smiles, Charlie is very animated.
Ron Wood steals the show. He is fantastic.
His playing is killer, he has excellent solos, great interplay.
Hard to fathom he was a hired gun-he clearly fits in so much.
Jagger really has a great time with Ronnie, beating him with a towel, just about another
kiss on the lips, as well at one point grabbing Ronnie's crotch...
Keith is the master, chopping & slashing the guitar as if it is giving him electroshock's
The video quality is outstandingly clear, compared to the six year earlier L & G
Good lighting, Jagger is high in the viewing, not as much as I expected.
It is eerie to see some of the songs in such great quality, which we've
all seen forever in grainy video.
Star Star was killer.
The 7 song Some Girls tracks were superb.
Imagination was on point, Miss You without filler is great, much like
the long released studio version.
During Far Away Eyes, something goes wrong with the piano Jagger is playing,
so he scoots over to Mac's keyboard, where he plays the song.
Doug Kershaw on fiddle appears during the back part of this song.
The warhorse segment at the end blazes.
Up front, the interview with Jagger was good, he seems very shy about this.
He really mocks the outfits he wore.
I noticed in the ending credits Honky Tonk Women gets "AKBCO" credit, where the other
Klein songs receive "ABKCO" credit...
All said..... Outstanding & RONNIE STEALS THE SHOW!
This is the must own video for a Stones junkie, you will not tire of this.
Some Girls soundtrack played for 30 minutes before the show, with
adverts for the dvd & SG remastered release along with trivia about the band popping up on the screen.
Here's a screen shot I took, sorry a bit grainy....
