I could barey believe Frampton played JJ Flash at The Borgata in AC Friday nite. People enjoyed it but I was thinking no fvcking way does this sound right so I only recorded the beginning. I give Frampton credit for putting on a 3 hour rocking show, but his own music fits his style better. IMO. Let me know what you think!

Yeah it was the 35th Anniversary Tour. I used to have that album too. Havent heard it in years, a nostalgia trip for sure. Frampton had a beautiful head of hair back then too, now you can see he lost it. But his voice is still great and his guitar playing was sick (I mean that in a good way). It was an incredible show!

Thanks for taping and posting....sounds like a great show to catch. JJF seems a tad slow in pace to me and loses something when played that way imho.

Do you mean "tad slow" like  "the slow pace of a  cruise" ?
Like missing some power & energy ?

yes....no doubt an attempt to "funky" it up...but the song needs to be played at a frenetic pace imo.....

Well nothing beats the original. But this is pretty much the way he played it on FCA. Not bad. I'm thinking of seeing this show when it comes to town. Just to hear the rest of the album besides the three monster radio hits that always get played.
