so gillian welch is coming to the fitzgerald theater in st paul....anyone seen her on this round of touring? what band does she play with? does dave rawlings tour with her? anyone have any recent setlists so's i can study up before the show?

Tour hasnt started yet - she has a new album out at the end of this month (her first since 2003). She did a few gigs opening for Buffalo Springfield though.

None of the songs on that set are from the new album.

As far as I'm aware, Rawlings always plays with her and vice-versa. The artist 'Gillian Welch' is basically 'Gillian Welch & David Rawlings' . I presume when she does her own tour it'll be with a band.

I saw them play in support of Dave's debut solo album last year as part of the Dave Rawlings Machine, when they supported Old Crow Medicine Show at a festival here (they also joined OCMS for half of their set afterwards)

Between both acts, it was the best gig I was at in 2010.

She'll be on Conan on the day the album is released in the US (28/6/11)
