Okay. The first day on my vacation, what I did on my summer vacation, the first day on my vacation, I woke up. Then, I went downtown to look for job.

Then I hung out in front of the drugstore...

A - Served an almost clear copper-brown color with a thin finger of off-white head. The head fades down leaving behind some nice lacing.

S - The aroma is a mix of sweet toasted caramel malts with lots of grapefruit and pine hops. Very nice hop aroma here.

T - Starts off with lots of piney hops and bitterness and a bit of sweet malt. Through the middle, grapefruit hops and more bitterness come through. The finish is a mix of grassy hops and a bit of sweet malts that lingers.

M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. The beer feels smooth and very crisp. The beer feels quite dry and especially at the end where there is a nice bitter kick.

D - Very drinkable. Very nice strong and complex hop profile with just enough supporting malt flavor to balance.

Serving type: on-tap

This was supposed to be the greatest summer but there was a death in the family which sorta derailed everything. Forced myself out to a few gigs anyway, and other than a typically amazing Throw Rag performance, I am just not feeling it.  There isn't anything even remotely interesting as far as major concerts go this summer but a lot of cool free gigs, smaller shows, street festivals etc.

The show I was most excited about was Sioux City Pete And The Beggars at Bordello and the Redwood but I was still out of town when they took place.

Sean Wheeler and Zander Schloss are playing every Sunday and The Mormons every Tuesday in July downtown. Eddie Money down the street from my house which is about the furthest I will travel for him.

I found out I am eligible for dual citizenship, the hard part is getting the documents I don't already have. So a lot of back and forth with sending out for needed documents. I'm looking at Christmas time or shortly there after for this to be finished.

Ian McLagan tonight.

Unconnected to that, two weeks worth of Belsonic festival is on at the minute. Outdoor shows most nights in the city centre.

http://belsonic.com/
http://belsonic.com/lineup.php

Some good acts on (Primal Scream tonight, Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye tomorrow) although the only gig I'm going to personally will be The Specials next Saturday.
