His influence has been responsible for the recent live set lists which in some cases were less than desirable.
i'm confident that he quashed some real treats that could have been included in the last few tours.

Not the case. He's on public record as saying that he pitches left-field ideas to Jagger all the time, and that Mick is rarely interested in taking chances anymore. Only one ballad per show, next to no non-warhorses from the Brian Jones era, stuff like that. Keith's excuse is that while he'd like to mix things up more, he's happy to defer the final say to Mick, as he's the one who has to sing 'em.

Blame the 'greatest performer in the world' for lack of challenging setlists, because it appears he doesnt have the confidence in keeping the attention of the sort of corporate blow-ins who make up a Stones audience in the 21st century.

If anything, if it wasnt for Leavell we'd have got next to nothing other than disc 2 of '40 Licks' on the last tour.

I stand corrected. But, I would much rather listen to Blondie filling in the guitar licks that Keith can no longer play rather than listen to Leavell's keyboard 'fill in' on the band's great music. Even if it boils down to a less adventurous Mick who balks at giving the fans what they want, Chucky still sucks hired hand or not.
The corporate audience feeds Jagger's present station in life while he plays lip service to the loyal Stones fan, I agree, he doesn't care.
Why can't he realize mortality and bring back Bill and Micky T for a rousing finale?
His ego is deeper than the lines on his face and it is sad that this won't happen.
These two were both in it for the music.
Charlie even feels the same as I do about Leavell   The real Rolling Stones tongue The real Rolling Stones tongue

Yes, he should have.

Doesnt want to do it anymore ? Isnt enjoying it? Afraid to fly?

Shouldnt be there, in that case. Time to move on. Thanks and toodle-pip.

Credit to him for having the balls to walk way from a mega-fortune and stick to it.

If he was able to move on, everyone else should be able to do the same.

Bill had issues- flying.
Keith according to what i've been reading in his book loves music.
I would believe Mick loves being a front man.
and as for Ronnie he's Loving  the ride

Bill Wyman’s Supreme Tour

Posted on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at 04:01 PM
.
A tour featuring a former Supreme performing with a former Rolling Stone doesn’t happen every day. Or, for that matter, every decade. Which is why Mary Wilson appearing with Bill Wyman & The Rhythm Kings is so special.

As the original bassist for The Rolling Stones, Bill Wyman kept the band thumping from 1962 to ’92. Of course, Mary Wilson isn’t exactly a lightweight. The singer, along with Diana Ross and Florence Ballard, started out in Detroit, Mich., as The Primettes in the late 1950s and renamed their group The Supremes when they signed with Motown in 1961.

With Wilson appearing as special guest of Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings, the United Kingdom tour begins at Swansea’s Grand Theatre Oct. 17 and includes stops at Birmingham’s Town Hall Oct. 26; Glasgow’s Theatre Royal Oct. 30; Aberdeen’s Music Hall Nov. 1; Norwich at Theatre Royal Nov. 12; London’s Cadogan Hall Nov. 19 and Watford at the Colosseum Dec. 2.

“I have admired Mary Wilson’s Talents since we first met in November 1964 during the TAMI Show,” Wyman said in a statement. “We have been friends since that time, and remain so. It’s wonderful to have Mary join us onstage. It will be a fun tour – full of great music!”

Most shows are already on sale. For more information, click here for Bill Wyman’s website and here for Mary Wilson’s slice of Internet heaven
