Both of Keith's X-Pensive Winos albums are excellent. Whilst most fans seem to prefer Talk is Cheap though, my favourite is Main Offender. I think Wingless Angels (the first one) is brilliant as well

Mick's two 1980's albums sound horribly dated now, as do a lot of records from that era. Both of 'em have a few good songs though. Wandering Spirit is very good, Goddess in the Doorway is probably his next best solo album.

I still contend that Talk is Cheap recorded by the Stones would've been one of their finest albums.

Would certainly have been worth it for the surreal scenario of Mick singing songs that were written as pretty stinging attacks on him!

Both Talk Is Cheap and Main Offender are very good, IMO. I especially enjoy Make No Mistake and the gorgeous, Hate It When You Leave.

As for Mick: well, I only own Goddess, but Wandering Spirit has been on my 'must buy' list for a little too long, now.

I prefer Main Offender to Talk is Cheap  - and love them both.

Mick's solo works I've never liked the entire album.  I'll get most of the way through listening and get bored.  She's the Boss and Primitive Cool I gave away to a friend that liked them more than I did a long time ago.  I should, to be fair, give Wandering Spirit another go and see if it's grown on me some.  Mick's solo works are just ....too smooth?  I think that's the word I'm looking for.  He seems to need someone to tell him to quit fiddling with the production - it's done already!
