Rest In Peace, Dad

Hi everyone,

This morning, at around 7:15 am, my father passed away of a suspected heart attack. Due to my severe laziness, he used to give me a lift to the station, but not this morning. After agreeing to met me in the car - whilst this idiot sorted his hair - he collapsed oh the stairs. The paramedics tried for half-an-hour to revive him, but he passed away. I'm totally at a loss and just don't know what to. All I have done today is walk in circles, smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee.

The last words he said to me were: 'I don't feel well'... then he died.

Rest in peace, Dad  Sad

Sincere condolences, Alex.  No one is ever prepared for the loss of a parent - no matter how old you (or they) are.  Remember the good times.

I'm so very sorry Alex.
I lost my mom six years ago this summer and no matter how old you are nothing prepares you for losing one of your parents.

Feel what you feel - there is no guide book and no right or wrong.  Just don't bottle it up.

As others have said, we are all here when you need to vent, chat or whatever.

Best Wishes,
Angie

Alex, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. It's never an easy thing to lose a parent. I lost my mom back in 1986 to cancer. Hang in there brother. Cherish the memories and keep him alive in you.

Oh My dear dear Alex.

I am so so terribly sorry for your sudden loss.  I lost my dad when I was 16, he was in the hospital, but I thought that he was coming home.  He didn't come home.

I'll PM you, so we talk.

Lots of Love My friend.

Please let me know how I can help.

FG!

Peace be with you!

Just don't feel guilty...sounds as if you might be blaming yourself to a certain extent.

just remember the words of our dear, dear friend Ray:
---------
Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I'm thinking of the days,
I won't forget a single day, believe me.

I bless the light,
I bless the light that shines on you believe me.
And though you're gone,
You're with me every single day, believe me.

Days I'll remember all my life,
Days when you can't see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you'd leave me,
But it's all right,
Now I'm not frightened of this world, believe me.

I wish today could be tomorrow,
The night is dark,
It just brings sorrow, let it wait.

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I'm thinking of the days,
I won't forget a single day, believe me.

Days I'll remember all my life,
Days when you can't see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you'd leave me,
But it's all right,
Now I'm not frightened of this world, believe me.
Days.

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I'm thinking of the days,
I won't forget a single day, believe me.

I bless the light,
I bless the light that shines on you believe me.
And though you're gone,
You're with me every single day, believe me.
Days.
