One of the most in-demand shows of the still-young year isn’t U2, Neil Young or Prince. Instead, it’s the upcoming tour by an unemployed sitcom actor.

Apparently it took one of the largest earthquakes in recorded history coupled with threats of multiple nuclear reactor meltdowns to push Charlie Sheen from the headlines. The actor has dominated news cycles for the past few weeks with every word uttered by the former star of “Two And A Half Men” getting the “major news” treatment by broadcast network news departments as well as the 24-hour cable newsers.

Called the “My Violent Torpedo Of Truth / Defeat Is Not An Option” tour, Sheen announced two dates via Twitter on Friday – April 2 at Detroit’s Fox Theatre and April 3 in Chicago at the Chicago Theatre. Tickets for both shows went on sale within 24 hours of Sheen’s announcement and immediately sold out.

Top ticket prices for both shows were just under $70. However, folks hoping to make a quick buck on Stubhub have priced ducats as high as $4,999. Of course, listing tickets at outrageous prices isn’t quite the same as actually selling them at those prices.

Meanwhile, E! Online is reporting that Sheen is about to announce as many as 20 to 30 cities for his tour......

One thing that would really upset Charlie Sheen is to ignore him, he's been in the news 24/7.
The craziest rant is him out doing Keith & anybody else who's ever been a big stoner.

Sheen is wildly popular, there are already several Sheen slogan T-shirts, look alike Sheen hats, and Charlie's shows sold out in 18 minutes! I have to admit his crazyass shit is entertaining yet at the same time you feel like you are watching a terrible accident but you have to look anyway. Charlie Sheen is living on the edge, but its dangerously funny.
