First, I am new to this board. So…hello. Next, I am a huge fan and grew up loving the Stones. My Daddy showed me how awesome they were from a very young age, and it pains me to continue this post…but…
I have a huge Rolling Stones piece of art by Tim Yanke which I am selling. It's acrylic on Canvas, and has the Tongue and Lip design logo with the Honkey Tonk Woman lyrics in an abstract design. It's absolutely stunning, and my words don't do it justice (nor do pictures, really). I hate to sell it, but I must sell some of my collection. The 40X40 symbolizes the 40 year anniversary of the band, which it was when I purchased it several years ago. Here is part of the information I received from the gallery where I purchased it:
“Honky Tonk Woman” was created by Tim Yanke in 2008 as a 40th anniversary tribute to The Rolling Stones, Brian Jones, and the Beggars Banquet album. In 1968, Beggars Banquet was released, and it is credited as the album where Brian Jones’s last full contribution was made. As Jones was one of the five original founding members of band, Beggars Banquet was considered by many as the last true and purist Rolling Stones album. As part of the tribute, Yanke created the piece on a 40”x40” canvas. With frame, it measures 46.5”x46.5”.
If you're interested or would like to see a picture (my file was too large to attach to this post and I am apparently a moron and can't figure it out)please email me at
[email protected]. I paid $6k for it several years ago - but am willing to take a little less as it must go. I would love for a true fan to get it, which is why I am posting this here and not on eBay or Craigslist, etc. Thank you!
