It was in Keith's book, IIRC, where he said short phrases on slips of paper were cut up a la William Burroughs to come up with the lyrics to Casino Boogie. For a song that was just a cutup and they just threw the lyrics together. It turned out great. I'm surprised they never even attempted to play this one live. The groove and the riff are great. I'm not sure they could do it justice these days if they attempted to play it. But it has to be up there with Winter as the holy grail of songs never played live.

I didn't know that about the Diamond Dogs. But now that you mention it. Yeah it does have an interesting style that is simialar to Casino Boogie....and it's one of my favorite Bowie songs.
